Thank you for sharing our microglia replacement study! In 2020, we achieved efficient microglia replacement for the first time (PMID: 32783928). After that, we took another 5 five years to demonstrate its clinical feasibility and efficacy. We truly believe that microglia replacement holds far-reaching potential for treating a wide range of neurological diseases. Let’s change the world and make this happen!

Thrilled to share my latest paper in @MolNeuro where we demonstrate that the knock-down of GPNMB via ASOs in myeloid cells from preclinical models and FTD-GRN patients perturbs lysosomal function and increases immune responses 1/5 🧵 bit.ly/3Ed5ULn

Are you using 5xFAD mice to study Alzheimer’s disease? Our work @NeuroCellPress may be relevant to you 🐁 Age and sex are known to influence Aβ plaque burden in these mice. Here, we found that the transgene parentage is another strong determinant. (1/11) cell.com/neuron/fulltext/S08…

So great to see our cover on the new @ImmunityCP issue! Kudos to the artistic touch of @Ales_matera ☺️ with @AnneCompagnion and the many collaborators! read more about microglia and Inpp5d (SHIP1) in brain development

New issue online! Cover depicts work from @rosa_paolicelli @Ales_matera @AnneCompagnion &co showing that Inpp5d (SHIP1) is expressed in microglia during early postnatal brain development, where it limits synaptic pruning in a complement-dependent manner. Cover shows microglial cells (magenta) interacting with neurons (cyan) in the mouse CA1 hippocampal region during early development cell.com/immunity/issue?pii=…
