L'égalitarisme a creusé l'inégalité. — Les politiques de discrimination positive à Harvard : étudiants admis avec des scores très en dessous de leurs camarades, taux d'échec dispropportionné, sentiment d'imposture, ressentiment généralisé. On a saboté ceux qu'on voulait aider.

Next up on “Things you’d know if you had ever read a book.” These don’t get kicked back like this for spelling errors. The “adequate and independent state grounds” doctrine was coined in 1875. Coulda looked it up first, saved a whole lot of time. Amateurs.
BREAKING: The U.S. Supreme Court has denied Virginia's attempt to get its state supreme court's decision tossing out controversial election map overturned. The state's Democratic leaders had redrawn congressional maps, giving their party 10 out of 11 seats.

South Carolina has had a Black Secretary of State, a Black State Treasurer, two Black Lieutenant Governors, a Black Attorney General, and one of their U.S. Senators is Black. ALL Republicans, by the way. I remember when people were too embarrassed to display their ignorance.
South Carolina, where the first shot of the civil war was fired, where 40 percent of those enslaved came through the Charleston port, is today engaged in an ugly recidivism to draw maps that will deny a Black person the chance to serve in Congress. The stakes could not be higher. Our political fight is not on a playground, but a moral battleground. We must stand for Black representation across the South.

It’s almost like reading the opinion instead of posting a picture of it helps people understand the law.
Just so everyone is aware: The site is awash today in FALSE claims that the Supreme Court is violating its own rule about not making changes in voting cases too close to an election. The "Purcell" principle is that federal courts should not ORDER changes in voting cases too close to an election date and put the burden on states to figure out how to comply. What has happened today is that the Supreme Court has simply ALLOWED Alabama to decide for itself what it wants to do in the aftermath of the decision in the Louisiana decision last week. Democrats and their supporters are LYING. Plain and simple.

Having graduated from law school but not yet passed the bar, I worry I’m not smart enough to be a good lawyer. The kind any client deserves. Then I see what this guy is working with, and I’m feeling pretty good about my chances of being a better lawyer than Virgina has.
Ok, so the AG of Virginia, Jay Jones, has filed an emergency appeal to the United States Supreme Court asking them to overrule the Virginia State Supreme Courts ruling, and while he may have sent it through spellcheck this time, he failed to change templates..because this one is still going to the Supreme Court of Virginia. The incompetence is mind blowing. 😆😆😆

The south be allowed to make their districts based on… race? Great arguement. District lines must be drawn without making race the predominant basis for their shape or the voters placed in them. If you think they should be, you are racist.

Senator Mark Kelly, Democrat of Arizona, cleared for the innermost vaults of our war-reserve munitions data, walked onto national television and publicly gutted the operational security of the United States in the middle of an active conflict with Iran. He did it with the serene confidence of a man who believes the rules were written for lesser mortals…and he did it for one reason only: to bleed the Trump administration, to bleed the American arsenal, and to bleed the Republic itself in the service of a partisan pathology so deranged it has now crossed the threshold into functional treason. This is not hyperbole. This is precision diagnosis. I lay bare the full anatomy of the betrayal: the classified numbers Kelly vomited onto the airwaves, the lethal OPSEC consequences now rippling across every theater of potential war, his prior public incitement to military mutiny against the lawful Commander-in-Chief, and the unmistakable pattern of Democratic behavior that treats American strength as an acceptable casualty in the war against Donald Trump. I name the psychological illness, I cite the statutes he violated, I trace the doctrinal damage, and I prescribe the only remedy the Republic can still afford. Because this is no longer politics. This is a cancer wearing a Senate seal…and it is metastasizing while the enemy watches. The magazines are thinning. The chain of command is being tested. And men like Mark Kelly are counting on you to shrug and scroll past. Do not give them the satisfaction. open.substack.com/pub/lhgrey…

Damn, this goes hard. It is gospel.
This is straight to you, you theocratic cockroaches in Tehran...the mullahs, the IRGC brass, and that mouth-breathing president of yours who just slithered out with his “HUGE MISTAKE” threat. You do not get to dictate the terms of your own surrender after forty-seven straight years of waging asymmetric war on the United States of America. Forty-seven years of proxy blood, American blood, paid for by your oil money, your Quds Force logistics, and your apocalyptic death cult that masturbates to the idea of “Death to America” while you hide behind human shields and Persian carpets. Let’s run the pathology report, since your regime’s brain-rot is as clinical as it is malignant. Since 1979 you seized our embassy, held our diplomats hostage for 444 days, and declared open-season jihad on the Great Satan. You trained, armed, and financed Hezbollah to blow up 241 U.S. Marines in Beirut in 1983...the single deadliest day for the Corps since Iwo Jima. You supplied the EFPs and shaped charges that shredded American bodies in Iraq and Afghanistan for two decades...over 600 U.S. troops killed, thousands maimed, by Iranian-designed munitions. You funneled money and intelligence to al-Qaeda before 9/11 and sheltered its senior leadership afterward. You assassinated scientists, plotted murders on American soil, hacked our banks, mined the Strait of Hormuz, and launched ballistic barrages at our bases while screaming “restraint” the second we actually hit back. You are not victims. You are the aggressor with a forty-seven-year rap sheet that would make a Sicilian crime family blush. Every American sailor who’s had to dodge your speedboats in the Gulf, every tanker crew you’ve terrorized, every Israeli family shredded by your Hamas and Hezbollah proxies...they all know the truth your state media censors: Iran is a rogue state that exports nothing but missiles, mullahs, and misery. Now you slither forward demanding to keep your nuclear infrastructure, your enrichment centrifuges, your “civilian” uranium, and de facto veto power over the Strait of Hormuz...the jugular of global energy. You actually believe that after waging war on us since Jimmy Carter was in office, after Soleimani got turned into pink mist on a Baghdad runway, after your ballistic barrage on U.S. forces in 2020, after October 7th and your open cheers for the rape and slaughter of civilians...you get to set red lines for the United States. Wrong. Psychologically, you’re running the same delusional script every dying dictatorship writes in its final chapter: project strength, threaten the superpower, hope the Americans flinch first because they always have under weak leadership. But the psychology of this moment has flipped. President Trump does not flinch. He does not negotiate with people who chant “Death to America” while their fingers are on the nuclear trigger. He understands what you fundamentalists refuse to accept: your regime’s survival strategy is built on the assumption that the West is too civilized, too guilt-ridden, too distracted to finish the job. That assumption just died. Militarily, you know what we can do. We own the skies, the seas, the cyber domain, and the targeting packages that can turn every Natanz, Fordow, and Parchin facility into glass in a single coordinated strike package...without putting boots on the ground for your martyrdom theater. Your navy is a speedboat museum. Your air defense is 1980s Soviet scrap. Your economy is a sanctioned corpse kept alive by Chinese table scraps and smuggling. You survive only because previous American administrations treated you like a manageable nuisance instead of the cancer you are. So here is the message, delivered with the cold precision of a Hellfire and the venom it deserves: You do not “refuse to bow your heads.” You will bow them...or you will lose them. The American people are done subsidizing your nuclear psychosis, your hostage-taking, your proxy slaughter. The clock is not on your side. The Strait you threaten to close can be cleared by the Fifth Fleet in an afternoon, and the regime that orders it closed will not survive the week. You have spent forty-seven years proving you are incapable of coexistence with civilized nations. Very well. The bill is now due. Pay it in full...your enrichment halls, your command bunkers, your delusional rhetoric...or watch the Islamic Republic join every other apocalyptic death cult on the ash heap of history. The choice is yours. But make it fast. America is no longer in the mood for your bullshit.

The Glass Booth Is Empty…The Defendants Are Already in Power Real evil rarely goose-steps. It wears business casual, quotes bell hooks, and quietly outsources its soul to the regime. Hannah Arendt recognized it in Eichmann: not a foaming monster, but a banal, mediocre bureaucrat who simply stopped thinking. Thoughtlessness became the perfect enabler of horror. That same banality now powers the American Left’s institutional machine. Universities grading by identity. Newsrooms burying truth. HR commissars purging competence. Clinics chemically castrating confused children while calling it “compassion.” Bureaucrats enforcing speech codes and open borders with the serene conviction that they are defending democracy. All of it delivered with smiles, credentials, and the soothing language of equity. This new essay is the autopsy. A scalpel driven with lethal precision into the soft, rotting heart of the American Left in 2026. It dissects the psychology of narcissistic surrender, the Asch chambers of DEI and social media where dissent is pathologized, the ressentiment machine Nietzsche diagnosed and the modern Left perfected into civilizational acid. It traces the lineage from Gramsci’s long march through the institutions to the soft totalitarianism of the therapeutic state. It exposes the philosophical catastrophe: the war on representative thinking itself. No mercy is offered. Mercy is what they demand while they dissolve the foundations of reality. If you’ve watched your civilization commit suicide with a smile…if you’ve seen children sacrificed on the altar of adult ideological vanity and wondered how so many otherwise decent people could participate…then this piece was written for you. Read it slowly. Feel the venom. Then speak the forbidden truths they desperately need silenced. The defendants aren’t in a glass booth in Jerusalem anymore. They run your universities, newsrooms, corporations, clinics, and the administrative state. They are pleasant. They are credentialed. They are terrified only of being called “problematic.” And they are running out of time. The banality of evil has already arrived. The only question left is whether enough of us still possess the faculty of thought to name it… and the courage to tear it down. open.substack.com/pub/lhgrey…

You are fighting for voting apartheid. You want black voters in legislative ghettos so the other districts in a state can ignore their concerns. You are a proponent of some of the most racist voting policies imaginable. Why are you such a staunch supporter of racism?

RE: Gerrymandering In case you missed it, the Virginia Supreme Court just invalidated the gerrymandering plan that Governor Abigail "The White Witch" Spanberger got the Commonwealth's voters to approve via disinformation, illegal procedures, stealth and confusing/misleading ballot initiative language. Which is actually incredibly humorous. You see, the rabidly anti-democratic nature of that Virginia plan motivated red states to do something similar, except legal. Then, coincidentally, the US Supreme Court said that race-based legislative districts are unlawful, so now Southern red states are doing what Virginia wanted to do, except they are doing it legally and eliminating those unconstitutional, race-based districts that have been in place for decades. Today, Virginia, who started all this nonsense, got their whole scheme demolished while the other states--who did what they did largely in response to Virginia--have their new plans legally in place. All of this might have locked in the House for the GOP in the mid-terms. The irony is glorious and the schadenfreude is delicious. In other words, the whole sequence of events is ***schadenfreudelicious***!

Democrat gerrymandering schemes ghettoize black voters. Instead of black voters being in multiple districts across a state (forcing politicians across the state to address their concerns) they are shoved into a single district so the rest of the state can ignore those concerns. Democrat gerrymandering is racist, and hurts most of all the people it purports to help.

What it means is that if a state Supreme Court rules on state law, the Supreme Court cannot overturn it even if they wanted to.
🚨New: Former Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares told me Democrats’ emergency petition to the U.S. Supreme Court has no chance of succeeding. “The adequate and independent state grounds doctrine is a key principle of U.S. federalism that limits the U.S. Supreme Court’s jurisdiction to review decisions from state courts,” Miyares told me. “This is a motion that has zero chance to succeed and is Hail Mary to save face after wasting $70 million in political money and $10 million in taxpayer money on an illegal, unconstitutional gerrymandering amendment. This motion will be declared dead on arrival.”
