ALT Take precautions to keep you and your loved ones safe. Get vaccinated against COVID-19 and the flu. Stay home when sick. Wash your hands. Cover coughs and sneezes. Disenfect surfaces touched often. Consider a mask when indoors with people outside your household. If child has mild symptoms, keep them home. Contact health provider before you visit an urgent care or hospital. Or call 211 for help finding one.

Tip for people trying out mastodon: you can follow tags! It's a nice way to introduce happy things into your feed (like #gardening) or to find people to follow (for example, by following #a11y).

I learned that if the tag doesn't show up in the search interface, you can write your own post with the tag and then use that to start following it.
