Maybe, instead of National Service for 18 year olds they should introduce national service for MPs.
They all have to do several weeks volunteering in a school, GP, hospital, care home, social care and police within their first 12 months in office.

I try not to be angry about this all the time, but 4.5 years ago we had the opportunity to vote for a different reality, where public services were going to be funded better and things were going to be nationalised and affordable and the entire media class destroyed it

I’m happy my tax money is used to provide financial support to those who are too unwell to work. I’m also more than happy to pay taxes on the premise that if I’m one of the unlucky ones who can’t work due to ill health I will be financially supported

Nearly 300 years ago, the first Black performer to play Juliet was Rachael Baptiste, an Irishwoman also hugely successful as a singer.
She performed in Lancashire in the mid-1700s.

Creative Industries make up 6% of our economy. That’s more than car and oil industries together. They employ 2.3million people.
