Yesterday, my girl brought a whole room of people to tears. She was so brave & powerful … but also so vulnerable & raw.
She described the shame and embarrassment she now feels because she fell into the gender trap. It’s like a dark part of her that’s she’s kept hidden until now. She described what all these brave, young desisters & detransitioners feel — regret, shame, embarrassment, and anger towards the adults who hurt them…
She was just a vulnerable 12-year-old little girl, and adults took advantage of her. She made it out of the gender cult in one piece, barely.
She described how being “trans” was a dark cloud disguised as a shiny rainbow. It never made her happier. It never offered her all of the things she was promised.
She taught us all that we must have massive compassion for the kids going through this, who’ve all been sold an impossible lie. She taught us that we must keep open communication with our kids, always stay grounded in truth, and meet them where they are.
Proud is an understatement. 🩷🩷🩷
