Saying Bitcoin mining can't go carbon negative because there isn't enough mining happening today via methane sources is like saying in 1885 that lights will never transition from kerosene or whale oil.

EPA is poised to crack down on landfills too. Mitigation plans will be required or federal plans will be imposed on smaller landfills to capture/flare methane. Key Q: will municipalities/landfill companies monetize methane or just eat the cost of flaring?
