I will move on but I'm hugely pissed off that the reason my name wasn't called at graduation is because the grad team put a mark next to my name to indicate that I'd be slow (something they assumed) and the person reading names thought it meant I wasn't there.

So that grad school doesn’t #BreakMySoul: What advice would you give your former selves if you could repeat your 2nd year of grad school? Particularly interested to know from other BIPOC and disabled individuals. @DisInGradSchool @AcademicChatter #AcademicTwitter

We've been on a long hiatus because personal, professional, and health stuff has gotten in the way. But we're here to boost your stuff. For the marginalized and minoritized folks in (and outside of) the academy. For those who are being pushed out. You belong. You matter. 💜

Anonymous Question "5th year grad student here, I had to switch labs last year so I'm essentially starting over. This year I was diagnosed with a chronic condition & I can barely get around the lab (I use a wheelchair but the lab isn't wheelchair friendly). How do I graduate?"

Any recs for presenting qualitative research? My work is on the lived experience of college students with disabilities during the pandemic (fall 2020 - spring 2021) and want to tell it like a research oriented story @NoStigmas @DARN_disability @AcademicAbleism #DisabilityRights
