The Difficult Colonoscopy is humbling to all endoscopists.
My Pearls :
#1 Female Patients
If hysterectomy or diverticulitis, use pedi colonoscope water immersion. (Angulated colon)
If chronic idiopathic constipation or visceral obese, use adult colonoscope (redundant colon)
Finally the spotlight shifts from colonoscopy to upper GI endoscopy, where the same seismic shift in quality improvement is needed. Read this article to improve your practice of diagnostic upper GI endoscopy and π for more publications in FG on therapeutic upper GI endoscopy.π
Future of IBD Monitoring using wearable technology. Sleep and heart rate variability and other metrics can differentiate responders to therapy. Intriguing concept.#ddw2026
Image the future with remote telemonitoring of patients and alerting high risk patients. One way to break the therapeutic ceiling through early optimization. Now we just need more effective therapies ! #ddw2026
@RobertHirten MD, shares compelling insights from his research on using wearable technology to monitor how patients with #IBD respond to biologic therapies. #DDW2026
Emerging data on JAKs & pregnancy presented by @UmaMahadevanIBD β overall in this cohort there were no adv signals of maternal complications, preg outcomes, infant devel, infection or vax response. JAKi should only be used if no other viable option for maternal health. #DDW2026
Hello, Moon. Itβs great to be back.
Hereβs a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: nasa.gov/artemis-ii-multimedβ¦

π’NEW: In a study of 600,000 people published today in @bmj_latest, we found GLP-1 drugs (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro) associated with reduced risk of addiction across alcohol, opioids, cocaine, cannabis, nicotineβand 50% fewer substance-related deaths.

So many pearls from @AnthonyLemboMD and TR Levin @GuildConference
1. Mediterranean diet and low ultra processed food diet helps IBS
2. Eating seeds and nuts DID NOT increase diverticulitis
This quite possibly shows that doctors probably waste a lot of time doing βmedically fitβ ward rounds because of bare-bones social services.
It does not show that nurses can manage unselected inpatient general medical patients the same as Consultant led general medical wards.
