Testimony by Mulugeta Mamo, 🇪🇹 Ethiopian Refugee, Ali Addé 🇩🇯
"My name is Mulugeta Mamo. I am an Ethiopian refugee, and I have been living in Ali Addé since 1991.
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Government and the people of Djibouti for their hospitality and support. We have lived peacefully alongside the local communities for many years.
Secondly, through initiatives such as those implemented by IGAD, we have learned many valuable lessons about how refugees and host communities can live together, support one another, and strengthen social cohesion. These activities have helped improve integration and mutual understanding between refugees and local residents.
Finally, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Government of Djibouti, especially His Excellency President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, for his leadership and continued commitment to supporting refugees and promoting peaceful coexistence.
Thank you for listening."
