Brrr did you notice the chill last night?
We had a widespread frost with all four countries of the UK dropping below zero Celsius and temperatures got as low as -2.7 Celsius in Topcliffe
It is the earliest in September we have seen frost in the south of Wales since 2019 βοΈ
ALT A map of the UK showing minimum temperatures last night across the UK where all four countries dropped below zero Celsius.
Eskdalemuir got down to -2.5 Celsius, Topcliffe got down to -2.7 Celsius, Katesbridge got down to -1.4 Celsius and Llysdinam got down to -0.8 Celsius.
Itβs certainly a cold airmass over the UK today.
Temperatures everywhere way below what weβd expect in mid September.
Over 8Β°C below normal in Pershore.

If it feels like it is a bit cold at the moment here in the UK, this #dataviz shows that yesterday was the coldest day for the first half of September (1st to 15th) since 1998. I don't think today is going to be much warmer!
