What a day at Brisbane Road. For the second time in five seasons our little club in East London are league champions. The owners, Martin Ling, @RichieWe11ens and that team of players have given us memories to last a lifetime and I can’t thank them enough @leytonorientfc #lofc

In professional boxing one of the most dangerous things you can have is a brave cornerman.
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
Davison appeared to be relying on Wardleys renowned KO punch but by that time he’d took FAR too much and was hard to watch , it’s ok wanting to win badly but not at the expense of someone’s health , and that’s what this was .

That’s one of the most brutal fights I’ve seen. Dubois was composed and patient after early knockdowns. Wardley was incredibly tough, but his corner let him down. Trying to give advice after his legs were wobbling back to the corner. Should’ve pulled him out. #WardleyDubois

Shoutout the EFL clubs that DENOUNCE the current state of football in 2026 by REFUSING to be good from set pieces and instead focusing on the PUREST form of the game.
All four likely title winners in Premier League, Championship, League One & League Two have scored the most set pieces goals in their division.

You can feel Richie’s sadness with Ling’s sacking. Only reinforces my sense that this came from above and Nigel is fronting it as Chairmen. NT has previously said how open he is discussing everything (stadium, academy, etc) with RW so something is off. Sad times at the Orient.

Martin Ling is a Leyton Orient legend. Player, coach, caretaker, manager, director of football, involved in three promotions. Ling was brought back by the new owners in 2017 and helped rebuild the club after the nightmare of Becchetti’s ownership. Helped guide the club through the devastating loss of the hugely popular manager Justin Edinburgh in 2019. Helped guide the club through the pandemic. Given his own past issues with depression, Ling could offer good counsel to others, when needed. His door was always open for players, staff to come in and talk. Ling has done so much for Leyton Orient on and off the field. He’s now left the club. Strange timing? Surely wait until end of the season? Chairman Nigel Travis explained club thinking to fans, telling Orient TV that “every organisation evolves” but they were “not replacing Martin directly”. Travis has fulsome praise and respect for a “great player, great manager and terrific director of football." But given how much Ling has done for the club, he deserved a proper send-off. As Travis himself says, "Nobody has contributed more to Leyton Orient than Martin Ling". #LOFC

An Orient legend. A huge part of our rebuild and the success that followed. A real shame to see him go mid season. Deserved better.
Thank you for everything, Lingy ❤️ Martin Ling has left his role as Director of Football at Leyton Orient 🗞️ #LOFC #OneOrient

We're saddened to hear that actor and filmmaker Robert Duvall has died aged 95. Duvall starred in a string of much-loved Hollywood classics including Apocalypse Now, for which he won a BAFTA, as well as The Godfather, MASH and To Kill a Mockingbird.

Watching round 12 Clarke TKV, I could only think of @TrisDixon book Damage. Clarke is a brave man with huge heart but did not need to take those punches in the 12th round. Corner should’ve looked after him. Not sure that was the advert for boxing we needed on the BBC. #ClarkeTKV

People might see clips of Richie Wellens and think he’s a chippy northerner with an attitude but having watched him in the dugout from my seat in the West Stand you can tell he’s a man who cares. He’s turned this club around with his passion and emotion. A proper leader. Top man.
Our gaffer 👊 Richie Wellens will be offering his time for the first three Wednesdays in December to help supporters who are struggling with their mental wellbeing ❤️ #LOFC #OneOrient

I know it will make a lot of money for the promoters and fighters but it's hard to get excited about Benn v Eubank Jr II. The main point of intrigue seems to be whether a weight-cut and the erosion of time will cost Eubank Jr - who won clearly last time. theguardian.com/sport/2025/n…
