People love to shit talk this video but, speaking as a child of the 80s and TRUE GenX'er, people who are NOT from this generation simply don't understand the awesomeness of MTV and what that meant to all artists. There were absolutely insane, beautiful, wacky, and questionable videos made. There was NOTHING out there that let us see our bands, where musicians could showcase themselves directly to fans. MTV provided that - and it was the best. Hands down. #IWantMyMTV #GenX
