More difficult than TN, KS, AR, FL, MSU, TT, Louisville (x2) and SMU? And that's before UNC?
"The league is not giving [Duke] quality matchups consistently." @GaryParrishCBS points out that Duke's schedule is about to get a lot more difficult than it has been recently.

Default setting to avoid idiocy from people I don't know and don't follow (this guy, for example). But do go on about how Duke doesn't matter yet spends time replying to random Duke accounts. And why are we talking about Cooper? How did we get there?
The guy who has replies turned off because he knows he’ll get cooked Man good point, somebody tell Mensah and Barkate they made a huge mistake going to Miami. They were already at the pinnacle of college football at Duke Makes sense considering duke’s HC is the guy we fired

Bigger program? How many championships has Miami won since joining the ACC?
tlDr - a Duke fan who offered a bag to steal Mensah from Tulane is bitching about mensah being stolen now by an even bigger program #FoodChain

tlDr - tmj6810 can't read. Doesn't get that I have zero issue with him leaving. Only gripe is the timing and then the post hoc narrative created to justify.

tlDr - I got offered a bunch of money at the last minute and, wisely, took the deal. However, because our society is backwards about money grabs, I have to use Pete Nakos as a mouthpiece for my mistruths.

NEW: Star QB Darian Mensah detailed his decision to transfer from Duke to Miami with On3's @PeteNakos🙌 “I want to make the NFL. I want to be a first-round draft pick. And all signs point towards Miami.” Exclusive: on3.com/news/darian-mensah-o…

Not knocking this guy at all. But AI isn't a lawyer and shouldn't be trusted for legal advice.

Let's make them employment agreements and see how he handles non-competes ...
This exposes the fiction of #NIL "license agreements." They're employment contracts disguised to avoid labor protections, workers' comp, and union rights. If players are employees in all but name (fined for tardiness, required to attend, and subject to performance obligations), they deserve employee protections. Can't have it both ways. Either these are real licensing deals (and you can't fine someone for being late to practice) or admit it's compensated labor.

"bkuz"? If you "push the boundaries for the betterment of" your clients, tell us what the settlement agreement terms are. You're invited on the podcast to discuss the legal issues surrounding NIL licensing agreements and this case. DM me.

Good to see that Duke v. Mensah is settled (as I predicted would happen).

Good points here from Section 17. But also keep in mind that, pursuant to contract law, Duke has to mitigate, or lessen, its damages. That is just another reason why you have to bring in another QB.
If you’re Duke, you have to get a guy in who can play. While Mahan may end up being great, you don’t know. They’d be foolish to not fill the room up with capable guys.

I assume this guy is a big union supporter based on this tweet... Again, my only gripe about this situation is the timing with which the decision to enter the portal was made. Also, ever heard of an independent contractor?
Replying to @DukeFBCoverage
You posited you’ve always said players should be subject to employment contracts, obligations & protections in conjunction with being paid (good). Yet here you are crying about the fact that Mensah is leaving despite not being subject to employment contract

Find a contradictory post ... I'll wait. (I doubt this guy knows what that word means.)
Replying to @DukeFBCoverage
It’s really insulting to my eyes to see your hypocritical posts contradicting yourself for the sake of coping with a blow to your rooting interests. Grow up and sack up

Who’s you all? The student athletes you want to subject to employment contracts without the benefits or protections associated with employment contracts?

It's really insulting to history when people compare slavery to the NCAA and players getting paid to play a sport they choose to play pursuant to negotiated contracts. I'm not sure what it says about how dumb people are, but it says a lot about how dumb this George guy is.

Of course you are. New age slave owner vibe

I'm all for enforceable licensing agreements.

Big risk. But I assume Duke is confident about the waiver.
Duke's next QB* will be Walker Eget, a transfer from San Jose State. * pending a waiver on3.com/sites/devils-illustr…

Translation - we want it to be hard for MN officials to find and prosecute them.
Border Patrol’s Greg Bovino says the federal agents involved in the scene where Alex Pretti was killed have been reassigned outside of Minneapolis but are still on the job. “All agents that were involved in that scene are working not in Minneapolis, but in other locations. That’s for their safety.”
