During the last presidential election, I got to my polling unit and waited from morning till night to cast my vote but my community chairman came in and destroyed all the ballots with thugs and said we should all go home because he heard "we were not voting his candidate".
Was I discouraged because they didn't let me vote ? .. Yes. Would I vote in this next election ? .. Yes.
Many people are refusing to get their PVC because they think their vote would not count, well if you see how much the opposition is spending on campaigns you would reconsider.
In the last election BAT got 37% of the votes Atiku got 29% and PO got 25%. The difference isn't crazy and in the last 4 years a lot more young people got old enough to vote. Let's try our best and change this country by doing the little we can (going out to vote) and even if we fail at least we'll fail while trying and not because we were too chicken to try.
Get your PVC.
I voted for Peter Obi in the last election after they counted the total votes casted in my ward and Obi won, I went back to my hotel.
I regretted that action, never again
So this election, after casting my vote and counting it in my ward, I will be following the inec returning officer to AMAC and making sure Obi wins there too, if possible I will park at ICC gate and make sure Peter Obi is declared the winner before driving back to my hotel this time around.
If the mandate is stolen again, this time around I will start protest from there straight to the National Assembly.
