The Vega-C launcher carrying @CopernicusEU#Sentinel1 C is now space-bound!
The rocket will place the satellite in a Sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude around 690 km.
#VV25
While we wait for the Vega-C launch, some pictures from yesterday.
Copernicus #Sentinel1 C is sitting tight at the top of the 35-m tall rocket, ready for next attempt!

🌟 SENSE Spotlight 🌠 Meet Charlotte one of our 3rd year PhD students🚀✨Read about their background and experiences ⏩eo-cdt.org/sense-spotlight-c…
ALT Charlotte on the Sir David Attenborough (i.e. Boaty McBoatFace) travelling down the Antarctic Peninsula. Antarctic coastline with icebergs floating in the sea behind
Charlotte is particularly passionate about how we can utilize changes in spectral reflectance of Antarctic vegetation based on physiological responses to improve current remote mapping and monitoring efforts across Antarctica
