Today’s agreement on Defence Readiness Omnibus brings big change: Max 100 days to wait for defence industry permits instead up to 4 yrs. Simpler procurement rules, smaller burdens.
Small steps in rules, big steps in #DefenceReadiness! We’ll continue to defragment defence market.
"Today we reached an agreement on the Defence Omnibus. I welcome it very much but we will not stop there. Because this agreement is just the beginning", stated the @EP_Defence Chair @MAStrackZi following the successful political agreement reached today.

"It is a step in the right direction. To achieve what the European Council asked and what citizens expect we must overcome national egos. War is raging in Europe, the road ahead demands far more from us than we have been willing to give so far."
"The Commission is making ambitious proposals, the Parliament supports such ambition, we now need the Council to move forward, not behind us, but with us."
Parliament and Council agreed today on the package of proposals to accelerate defence investment and improve the EU’s responsiveness to security challenges. It is a part of so-called “Omnibus V” EU simplification measures.
