It was a pleasure to be a part of
#UKSC2023, which brings together important stakeholders from across the UK space ecosystem. 🇬🇧is a founding member of ESA, and thus a part of the very fabric of the agency.
For decades, ESA and the UK have grown together and share many success stories:
✅Telecom and applications (e.g., 5G/6G, quantum computing)
✅Exploration (Rosalind Franklin, a great team of astronauts)
✅EO (notably ESA’s Earth Explorer satellites)
✅Science (J-MAG magnetometer on JUICE; several UK contributions on EUCLID including the VIS optical camera)
✅ESA’s European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications (ECSAT) based in Harwell, UK.
Over the past two days, however, we focused on the future of space. Space is a team sport. With a collective effort we can – and do – realise some of the most ground-breaking missions.
