In Tallinn, we, together with @OlenaZelenska and the Olena Zelenska Foundation, announced 3️⃣ new joint projects supporting Ukrainian children: 💙 renovated school shelter in Olevsk 💛 “Superheroes School” classroom at Zhytomyr Children’s Hospital 💙 two psychosocial recovery camps for war-affected children.  We are contributing €500,000 to create safer learning environments, improve access to education during medical treatment, and support children’s mental health recovery. 💙💛This partnership is about investing in children’s safety, education, and resilience for the future of Ukraine.  In 2025, ESTDEV’s total contribution to Ukraine development cooperation reached €11 million, with over €15 million mobilised through donor agreements, increasing overall Ukraine support by 1.4 times 💪🏼. #TogetherForUkraine. At the Information System Authority’s @e_riik 15th anniversary conference, Andrea Kivi highlighted that Estonia’s experience in digital government is a key part of #ESTDEV’s international development cooperation. This was demonstrated with clarity in 2025, when ESTDEV brought a record 21.3 million euros in international funding to Estonia for e-governance and cybersecurity projects. Instead of exporting ready-made models to partner countries, we are supporting them in building secure, inclusive, and sustainable foundations for their own digital states, enabling them to develop and grow their digital infrastructure independently in the future. Witht this, we build trust, paving the way for new opportunities for partner countries as well as Estonian experts and businesses.

Estonia’s 🇪🇪 cooperation with African nations has grown remarkably in recent years, especially in the fields of digital development, education, innovation, and business, as well as through collaboration in multilateral forums. Just last week, we opened two new honorary consulates in Gambia 🇬🇲 and Côte d'Ivoire 🇨🇮. Later this year, we will take another significant step as we open a new Embassy in Nairobi 🇰🇪, complementing our existing mission in Cairo 🇪🇬. With ESTDEV’s support, the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences launched the #ZytoPol project with the Zhytomyr Police Academy to strengthen practical police training through simulation-based learning and modern teaching methods.
