As common @CrossCountryUK could not be bothered to put out reserved seats so passengers have to do seat swaps on overcrowded trains. Pathetic as always. #ledbydonkeys

My experience of tensor algebra 'it slots together like lego'.... No... No it does not.
Einsteins equations are diff equations connecting the geometry of our 3 1 D spacetime with the energy-momentum tensor: "Matter tells spacetime how to curve, and curved spacetime tells matter how to move" But in 2D gravity something weird happens 🧵1/8

We must assume they are on, including 15 March this week, given the importance of the day. Next talks are on Tuesday 14 March, hope our employers make the acceptable offer and end this madness that is destroying our sector, research, teaching, knowledge advance. So saddened.

The second is deceitful and the first is just plain unscientific.
A colleague has been informed by an editor at @ElsevierNews #GondwanaResearch that they cannot cite a preprint! Also, a quick search reveals that although Elsevier permit pre-printing, GR "would give preference to authors who have not shared their preprints previously" 😱 #OA

Who decides its maturity? A retired AI from a decade ago?....not sure that works well in society.
Is it not good to connect an immature ChatGPT computer to an Internet of Things device and expect secure, reliable behavior?
