The Important Shark and Ray Areas (ISRA) project has completed another region! We are excited to announce the update to our eAtlas (sharkrayareas.org) and our latest compendium.
Mobulid rays, including manta and devil rays, are among the most endangered elasmobranch species due to heavy fishing driven by demand for their meat and gills:
