Best thing about my MotU posts from yesterday? Showed me 20 whiny ranty negativist fanbois to block from my feed.

In all the articles about the @mastersmovie, I read a lot about how adult critics reacted while watching it alone, so I wrote a reflection on the emotion of seeing "Masters of the Universe" with my 9-year-old son and sharing a fleeting moment of childhood wonder. (Link below.)

I saw Masters of the Universe last night, and was thoroughly entertained in a way I haven’t experienced in a long, long time. It was fun, exciting, and totally in the spirit of the original animated TV show. No subversion of expectations, no social commentary shoehorned in, no girl-bossing, no sarcasm or irony, no weird, unpleasant color palette. Just an immersive, colorful, fun movie with a wholesome, attractive set of protagonists. All in all, true to the source material. And the music was phenomenal. Throughout the movie I kept thinking, “This music reminds me of Queen”—no surprise, the theme song featured Queen guitarist (and astrophysicist!) Brian May. The soundtrack was an awesome homage to 80s hard rock and synth—worthy of my gym playlist. I dunno about y’all, but to me this feels like a mini renaissance of the American movie theater. We’ve had a run of purely entertaining movies lately, and I hope it continues. I hope these movies all make a lot of money and keep coming. If you like this kind of thing, I definitely recommend seeing Masters of the Universe.

Just saw Masters of the Universe in IMAX Laser for the second time in three days, and I *never* do that anymore. This movie is GREAT! Flew by even faster the second time. People in the audience on a freaking Monday afternoon were literally applauding at multiple times throughout the film. When the credits wound down (and I made sure to stay for the final post credits sequence which I missed the first time) one guy in that back loudly said "That was so good!" And it freaking WAS. Gosh damn, I just felt good walking out of the theater and had the super catchy rock anthem in my head the entire drive home. So rare to get to see a film in the theater these days and just be grinning almost from beginning to end, constantly thinking "I can't believe I'm watching this, how did this movie come to be and how is it so much better than I ever imagined?" The nitpicks I had the first time largely fell by the wayside this time around. No, the auditorium wasn't packed by any means, but that's part of the reason why I wanted to catch it in IMAX again real quick while I still could. When this movie is gone, the people who saw it on the big screen are going to be really, really happy they did. Don't miss your chance!

I don't want to hear about how it "bombed" after one weekend. It made its projection. It was fantastic. If I don't get anymore, that sucks. But I'm glad I got the He-Man movie I always wanted.
The heroes of Eternia have arrived. Masters of the Universe - now playing only in theaters and IMAX. Get tickets now.

CG is NOT the same thing as AI. If you don't know the difference, please just shut your mouth already.

I've used Comrades: Free Fire Zone and it's a decent setting easily usable with AA.

I can 100% vouch for the results of this survey. When I worked on D&D, we saw this in every study we did of the general population. People who claimed they played D&D described a game that looked nothing like what was in the rulebooks. troypress.com/dd-rules-accor…

One quick scene could've fixed Punisher: One Last Kill. Either 1: he shoots Ma Gnucci in the head with the gun he was holding before going to save Dre's family. Or 2: a post-credit scene in Ma Gnucci's house. Frank appears, shoots her in the head, and leaves.

That is RIDICULOUSLY disappointing. We were all hoping for at least a movie-length special given that it's a one-off.
‘THE PUNISHER: ONE LAST KILL’ has a final runtime of 44 minutes, excluding credits. (via: @Cryptic4KQual)

Just finished re-watch of Ang Lee's Hulk. Better than I remember. And COULD feasibly be the MCU origin. Even the gamma dogs didn't bug me. CGI primitive but it's 2003. Great cast. I'd love to see a world where Bana, Connelly, and Elliot were in the MCU. youtu.be/2ErnLuJKQA4

That time Wolverine stole all Gray Hulk's clothes and replaced them with purple pants...literally just to fuck with him.

Since @DisneyPlus has apparently decided to screw over every fan in the United States and not ever air The War Between the Land and Sea...I just went and bought it on Blu Ray. Thanks for nothing, Disney.
