Somalia Is Caught in a Silent War Somalia is at war not with bullets, but with money, power, and influence. Outside forces are helping to shape our future, paying and arming competing groups, polarizing our people, and maintaining external/home politics behind closed doors. This isn’t about saving Somalia this is about using Somalia. This is how country ends not via invasion, but with internal decay led by external actors. Deals made in silence. Leaders that are paid by foreign wallets. Loyalty bought, not earned. While we argue clan vs. clan, region vs. region, others benefit. Somali people, this isn’t our fight. Today, on this day 65 years the Somali flag was first raised in Somali soil in hargeisa, Somalia. I want to thank and acknowledge and send appreciation to the Men and women in the military who have defended this flag up to this point and paid the ultimate sacrifices for us.
