The Met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has urged the government to make mobile phone companies make stolen devices unusable in order to tackle phone theft.
Police want new legislation to make companies publish their data on stolen phones and whether they are being reconnected after being snatched.
The Met says their efforts to tackle phone theft have seen incidents fall by 18% compared to the previous year.

I was left high and dry on Sunday. Replacement car showing as 20 mins wait didn't materialise. When I called was told it was actually 50 mins away.
