I saw Masters of the Universe yesterday and it was an utter delight. I was grinning the whole way through, and isn’t that what we want from a summer movie? Go see it so we get more #HeMan and maybe even #SheRa ⚔️
AOC: “There’s a certain level of wealth and accumulation that is unearned. You can’t earn a billion dollars. You just can’t earn that. You can get market power, you can break rules, you can abuse labor laws, you can pay people less than what they’re worth, but you can’t earn that”
The controversial weed killer Roundup is now being deployed in private and public forests at record rates.

Severance would've never been made if one guy controlled all of Hollywood.
That's just one reason why we have to put a stop to the Warner Brothers-Paramount merger.
Torching the @InternetArchive & the @WayBackMachine is akin to burning the Library of Alexandria and wiping our digital memory - at a moment when media corporations & the government want to hermetically seal us in a bubble of their propaganda.
We can't let this happen.
100 journalists, including Cory Doctorow, Rachel Maddow and many more, are backing the Internet Archive’s #WaybackMachine as essential to preserving the public record 🗂️

“an isolated incident” …how? Like an oopsie? Or was detaining this mother and daughter really that hazardous? Either way, we need a MUCH better explanation.
Like many San Franciscans, I found the incident at SFO last night upsetting. I have spoken to leaders at SFO and SFPD, and we believe this is an isolated incident. We have no reason to believe there is broader federal immigration enforcement at SFO. SFPD officers remained at the scene to maintain public safety and were not involved in the incident.
Under our city's longstanding policies, local law enforcement does not participate in federal civil immigration enforcement. Those policies keep us safe and will not change as long as I'm mayor.
I feel I am on the precipice of losing friends IRL. Why? Because I can’t, and won’t, stop speaking about the hourly atrocities that our government is committing. People around me think money/privilege will save them from having to confront the truth, but I won’t shut up about it.
Is this keeping us safe @DanielLurie ? Is violently separating a mother and daughter at @flySFO what this city needs and should use SFPD to support? No. No it isn’t and it is shameful that you are allowing this. Get ICE out.
