Intense week spent in #FrenchGuiana visiting #farmers, interviewing them & collecting samples to better understand the #cassava witches' broom #disease, an emerging disease in the region, through a project led by @Cirad & funded by @Agri_Gouv.
Great 2 weeks in #Congo#Brazzaville, supporting the 'Programme d'Utilisation Durable des Terres' funded by @CAFISecretariat & @AFD_France.
Among other things, we collected data to develop an allometric model to estimate #cassava yield non-destructively.

Pret, V., Falconnier, G.N., Affholder, F. et al. Farm resilience to climatic risk. A review. Agron. Sustain. Dev. 45, 10 (2025).
doi.org/10.1007/s13593-024-0…
ALT Increasing our understanding of farm resilience to climatic risks is critical but measuring resilience remains challenging. Our review brings evidence on the impact of resilience attributes on farm performance and resilience to climate-related risks, with a focus on quantitative methods and implications for resilience assessment of smallholder farms. It advocates for more comprehensive studies with the help of six guidelines. Photocredit: Cirad.

The GAIA conducted an in-depth investigation into the the processes and interactions in acid soil, developed a workflow and an essential policy tool integrated into the Ethiopian National Soil Information System (NSIS). @Sieg_SAS@jvasco323@FBaudron@luckywinner1@rahel1208
Amazing that the government of #Ethiopia will now be using analytics developed by the project to guide investments in #acidsoil remediation nationally! Proud to have led this project when it started & to now witness such an impact. Congratulations to the team!
