For the first time since Harvey passed, I have to hand my child over and trust in CHI to keep her safe. A task that is definitely easier said than done. Thankful that her cardiac team have always taken great care of her, and thankful that she doesn’t attend the same hospital Harvey did so at least it’s not the same building. It’s hard though to trust in a system where those at the top are constantly avoiding transparency and accountability. Where they appear more concerned with protected their image than protecting the children that are in their care.

As a healthcare whistleblower myself, I am deeply concerned by this report @CarrollJennifer @MaryButlerTD @davidcullinane @HSELive No whistleblower should be praised for raising serious concerns and then suffer career damage or retaliation afterwards. That sends a chilling message to every healthcare worker in Ireland who sees wrongdoing and is considering speaking up. Dr Maya Sharma raised concerns about vulnerable children. She should be listened to, protected, and treated fairly — not left fighting the consequences of doing the right thing. Ireland must do better for whistleblowers. @BlowersIreland

We fought for Harvey at 12 weeks pregnant when we got the diagnosis. We fought for Harvey at 36 weeks pregnant when they suggested withdrawing medical care at birth. We fought for Harvey when we found out he had severe scoliosis and had only been linked to an orthopaedic surgeon that deals with feet. We fought for Harvey when they dismissed my concerns around allergies-later diagnosed as anaphylactic. We fought for Harvey when they tried to provide a buggy instead of a wheelchair. We fought for Harvey when he had delays getting a suitable hospital bed for home. We fought for 5 years to get him a speech device so he could communicate. We fought for him to get scoliosis surgery. We fought for answers when we found out he was removed from the surgical list. Harvey is now gone and we will continue to fight for him, and for the other children and families facing these unnecessary and cruel battles. We fight because Harvey deserved better and we fight because that is what Harvey always did. If government or CHI think we will ever be quiet and just accept what has been allowed happen, they simply haven’t been paying attention. #JusticeForHarvey #NoChildWaiting #StatutoryInquiryNow @CarrollJennifer @SimonHarrisTD @CHI_Ireland @MichealMartinTD @SBH_PAG @scolionetwork @Stephen63224725

Absolutely delighted to have had the opportunity to speak at the @sinnfeinireland Ard Fheis this weekend! A brilliant weekend 💚 Thanks as always @caulmick
👏👏 How brilliant is @GillSherratt23 here at the #SFAF26 this afternoon. Harvey Morrison,[RIP] who suffered from scoliosis, died on July 29 last year. He was only 9-years-old. He spent years on a waiting list, his spinal curve caused his rib cage to twist around his lungs and heart, severely restricting his breathing. #JusticeforHarvey #RIP #scoliosis #BackUs

4: My final straw was the death of my 9-year-old son Harvey.Removed from the urgent list without our knowledge or consent. He died on 29 July 2025. And he's not the only one. No child should die like my son. What will YOUR final straw be?

Children's Healthcare Crisis CHI board told of investigations into cases of 13 children who came to harm in hospitals - ✍️Maeve Sheehan Some of the reviews had been going on for a “wholly unacceptable” three years, the board of the hospital group was told. Lucy Nugent, CHI’s chief executive, told the board that the number of historical reviews into Category 1 incidents still under review was “wholly unacceptable”. A statutory inquiry will be held into the care of children with complex scoliosis and spina bifida, while an external review of the clinical care given to children is under way. The children were the victims of Category 1 incidents — classified as “major” or “extreme” incidents that can cause disability, incapacity or death. The board minutes record that although extra clinics were held to improve the rate of spinal surgery, only 4.5pc of children who attended were actually referred for surgery. Claire Cahill, [@ClarCahill] of the Scoliosis Advocacy Network and [@scolionetwork] the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Paediatric Advocacy Group, [@SBH_PAG] said there has been no “meaningful” reduction in the backlog of children waiting for spinal surgery. #PublicInquiryCHi #CHI #LucyNugent #Scoliosis #JusticeforHarvey independent.ie/irish-news/he…

The protesters didn’t cause “46,000 people waiting longer than 18 months for vital scans, which could include diagnoses of cancer or heart disease”, Simon Harris and his Government did. And the Government didn’t give a damn about cancer patients until today.
Former Health Minister, Simon Harris suddenly concerned about Cancer patients despite More than 46,000 people waiting longer than 18 months for vital scans, which could include diagnoses of cancer or heart disease (#NTPF) 2025 A leading oncologist has warned that patients on low incomes are missing out on vital cancer care as more and more new life-saving drugs are only available to those who can afford to pay.

Suddenly the Gov are concerned about people missing hospital appointments. These are the same people who allowed children to die because their names were covertly taken off waiting lists. The same Government that let #scoliosis curvatures become inoperable. Now they care!

Just received a DM from a good friend / follower who is a carer dropping into elderly clients in the North Inner City. They are saying they are walking into freezing homes, having to leave their coats on as they bathe clients. One women surrounds herself with four hot water bottles to keep warm as she is terrified to turn the heating on. This is the country we are living in, this is how we treat the people who built the country. Something has to change. The Government is out of touch or indifferent to what is going on in the country. Or both. #FuelProtest ⛽️
