Redistricting wars assume a world of left vs right, red vs blue, us vs them. The reality is our political landscape is much more nuanced. @pewresearch study takes a deep dive into America's "large, politically messy center." pewresearch.org/politics/202…

﹟1/2 Compare PA legislative action with that of neighbor states. As of end of day June 5, all had recessed for the year. It's almost as if decades of extreme gerrymandering left a legacy of extreme legislative dysfunction. Find out more about that at fixharrisburg.com/

71% of Americans believe partisan #gerrymandering should not be allowed. 23 PA senators & 65 PA reps agree. PA legislative leaders could protect PA from this chaos, but they'd rather bet that they'll be the ones drawing future district lines. yougov.com/en-us/articles/54…

On the #gerrymandering wars: "Independent voters are the largest and most rapidly-growing segment of the American electorate, yet #redistricting processes are almost universally controlled by the two parties that do not fully represent them." msn.com/en-us/news/politics/…

Senate Bill 131 has 23 cosponsors-almost 1/2 of PA Senate palegis.us/legislation/bills… House Bill 31 has 66-far more than 1/2 of @PaHouseDems palegis.us/legislation/bills… Committee chairs won't allow committee votes. Leaders are silent. It's time to @FIxHarrisburg so solutions get a vote.

As of today, June 11, # of bills enacted in PA in 2026 is still stuck at 17. Senate has 1 committee meeting scheduled for next week. House has 9. House passed a budget bill in April. Senate? Crickets. 🦗🦗🦗 @SenatorPittman: who matters most to @PASenateGOP: voters or donors? 🤔

Partisan redistricting is a race to the bottom. @RepJeffHurd and @RepCarbajal joined @CNN’s The Situation Room to discuss the bipartisan efforts of the Problem Solvers Caucus’ new working group on gerrymandering. Competitive elections make for a healthier democracy and a more functional Congress.

PA is on every short list of "top redistricting targets" as national entities look for ways to rig future district maps to gain control of Congress. Expect deep pocket national entities pouring money in PA House & Senate races in ways that hurt all PA. newsweek.com/democrats-unvei…

A telling comment. PA politics is still a leader in the Race to the Bottom. What would it take for our legislators to change this? Courage to buck the big funders? Boldness to vote one's conscience instead of just following the leader? Belief in the duty to represent voters?
Speaker Joanna McClinton (D., Philly) introduced a former state rep who served alongside K. Leroy Irvis 40 years ago. McClinton says she asked if things are any different. The response? "It's the same, just the players have changed."
