Israeli lawyer Ben Marmarelli says Palestinian prisoners he represents beg him not to visit because they're raped each time he is due to meet them. This is a scene from Al Jazeera's shocking new documentary on Israel's systematic use of rape.

Joint violence by the military and settler militias is a central component of Israel’s ethnic cleansing policy in the West Bank. In a violent, pre-planned attack, dozens of armed settlers accompanied by at least one soldier raided four Palestinian villages south of Nablus – Huwarah, ‘Einabus, Jama’in and ‘Asirah al-Qibliyah – on Saturday, 6 June 2026. At least eight Palestinian residents were injured in the attack, two of them by shrapnel from gunfire. ‘Omar ‘Abd al-Hakim Dar Muhammad, 20, was admitted to intensive care with a brain hemorrhage and severe facial fractures. The attackers caused massive damage to property and sources of income: they stole at least 44 sheep and a donkey, three vehicles, and expensive equipment from garages and from a concrete plant. They vandalized other vehicles and tried to set fire to the local council building in ‘Einabus.

⭕️ New footage released by B’Tselem shows an Israeli soldier opening fire on a Palestinian family’s car in Hebron as it was slowing to a stop on June 5. 🔹Seven-month-old Sam Abu Haikal was shot in the head and killed. His parents were also wounded, with his mother remaining hospitalized. 🔹B’Tselem says footage shows the “car was far from the soldiers and posed no danger to them whatsoever” 🔹Soldiers left without providing aid to the infant or his injured mother
New footage obtained by B’Tselem uncovers the moments when the Abu Haikal family was shot. Seven-month-old Sam Abu Haikal was killed in the shooting, and both his parents were injured. The footage clearly shows that the Israeli soldier fired at the car as it was slowing to a stop. The car was far from the soldiers and posed no danger to them whatsoever. Moments later, in another video obtained by B’Tselem, seven-month-old Sam’s father, Fahed, is seen just after his son was shot. Fahed is holding baby Sam in his arms, trying to stop the bleeding from his head with his hands, while Sam’s mother, Daniyah, who was also injured by the gunfire while holding her son, is seen sitting on the ground, next to the car. Last Friday, 5 June, an Israeli soldier fired at a Palestinian family driving home from a family visit, as they sat in their car in the Tel Rumeidah neighborhood in Hebron. The family was shot as the car was slowing to a stop at the soldier’s command. Sam, a seven‑month‑old baby who was in his mother’s arms in the back seat, was struck in the head and pronounced dead shortly afterward. Sam’s parents were also injured by the gunfire; his mother is still in the hospital. After the shooting, the soldier who fired and another soldier who was with him left the scene without checking the car or offering any assistance to the critically wounded baby or to his mother. In the past two and a half years, Israel has killed tens of thousands of children in Gaza and the West Bank. The immunity it gets from the international community has led to a reality where, under Israeli rule, Palestinian lives are entirely disposable – even a seven‑month‑old baby.

Labs starting to pull up the ladders on the ability to diffuse AI was inevitable. Doing it without telling the user is misaligned.
When Fable 5 is used for frontier LLM development, it does not notify the user and instead limits the model’s capabilities through methods such as prompt modification, steering vectors, and PEFT. Anthropic estimated that this would affect approximately 0.03% of traffic.

Congrats @stevejang @km, Kindred was critical for us at PlayAI. Steve was always available to help, whether it was hiring, distribution, or anything else that could increase our chances of success. Truly some of the best people you could have on your cap table.
In 2023, we pivoted from a generalist fund to a thesis-driven AI and frontier firm. In the midst of this takeoff curve, it’s been wonderful and hard work with our founders, with many lessons and victories along the way. The good work continues, and today I’m excited to share our newest $355M fund! Thanks to @ychernova and @WSJ for writing about our new set of funds, our recent performance, and our renewed early stage mission at @KindredVentures. ☀️ wsj.com/pro/venture-capital/…

Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write. This is the article: volkskrant.nl/kijkverder/v/2…

I have seen enough to say it with absolute certainty: the Israeli army is the most depraved army.
A horrific video shows an Israeli soldier assaulting a Palestinian child in the village of Al-Ygheer, near Ramallah in the West Bank, during an Israeli army raid on the village today.

Mass execution is now official state policy in the country that receives the largest share of our American tax dollars. “The only democracy in the Middle East” is celebrating the legalization of death by hanging – exclusively for Palestinian prisoners – with MP’s openly sporting noose pins. Just FYI, the conviction rate for Palestinian prisoners is around 98%; meanwhile, Isr@elis who are documented on video raping and killing civilians are released with no charges.
VIDEO | Israeli National Security Minister Ben Gvir, outside the Knesset chamber, celebrates the passing of the death penalty law for Palestinian detainees, describing it as historic and saying, “Soon we will count them one by one.”

CNN interviewed Qusai Abu al-Kebash, a 29-year-old Palestinian shepherd, who was sexually assaulted by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank village of Khirbet Humsa. He told @JDiamond1 that settlers zip-tied his genitals, paraded him through the village while beating him, threatened to rape women, assaulted children, and stole hundreds of his sheep.
Israeli settlers have increasingly used violence against Palestinians in a bid to drive them from their homes in the occupied West Bank. But sexual assault appears to be a new weapon in these settlers’ arsenal of intimidation, pointing to a troubling new level of violence. cnn.it/4du8vj6

Wild thing about this article was that it was concerning the mental health impact of such actions on soldiers.
IDF soldier describing his commander murdering a child: "We went out with him on the first patrol…There's not a soul in the streets, just a little 4-year-old boy playing…The commander…grabs the boy, and breaks his arm..and his leg..Stepped on his stomach three times and left."

Son of caregiver held in ICE detention over unfounded PLO allegations dies; father barred from funeral —— Wael Tarabishi, a 30 year old US citizen with severe Pompe disease, died on 23 January in a Texas intensive care unit after his father and full time caregiver, Maher Tarabishi, was detained by US immigration authorities. Maher, a Jordanian national, was arrested on 28 October 2025 during a routine check in with Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Dallas and held more than 200 miles away. Relatives said Wael, who had undergone 36 surgeries and was confined to bed, suffered a rapid health decline without his father’s daily care. He was hospitalized with sepsis and pneumonia and spent days in intensive care calling for his father, including during a month long ICU stay, before his death. Family members said officers ignored Maher’s long standing legal permission to remain in the US as his son’s caregiver and detained him despite explanations at the scene. ICE later alleged that Maher was a criminal and a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), which has not been designated a terrorist group since 1987, a claim relatives described as unfounded. ICE did not allow him to attend his son's funeral.
