Interesting remark from the Ukrainian president. According to him, the aid already provided by Germany accounts for around 16% of the total aid that
#Ukraine has received to date. Not bad given that more than two dozen countries provide military assistance to Ukraine 🫡.
I had a meeting in Kyiv with Germany’s Defense Minister, Boris Pistorius. Our conversation focused on key priorities: building a comprehensive air defense shield, investing in Ukraine’s defense industry, ramping up Ukraine’s defense capabilities, training and supporting our soldiers on the battlefield.
I am grateful to Germany for its unwavering support, which has not only strengthened Ukraine’s defense but also played a crucial role in enhancing Europe’s security as a whole. Germany has made one of the largest contributions to protecting Ukraine’s skies and saving countless lives, providing approximately 16% of all the aid Ukraine has received.
We also discussed coordination with our partners to bring about a just peace and reviewed the outcomes of yesterday’s Group of 5 meeting of the defense ministers from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Poland.
