@EdnStuff How would you feel about instead of a huge wave of 90 proposals all at once, once per year, we had a slow trickle of roughly 1 proposal per epoch instead? When we designed governance, the idea was that delegators could redelegate if their dRep votes differently than they like. But if we force a vote on everything all at once then delegators lose the ability to pick and choose dReps by proposal. Additionally, we have a drepActivity parameter that will switch a dRep from implicit NO to implicit ABSTAIN if they haven't voted on anything for 20 epochs. However, if we don't have anything to vote on for 20 epochs then this will likely cause problems by marking dReps as inactive when they shouldn't be. And of course it should not be forgotten that voting on everything all at once causes extreme voting fatigue and likely lowers the actual quality of proposal reviews. A slow trickle of things to vote on one at a time would be much more manageable IMHO.

SPO costs are the thing I kept coming back to in this @Tweagio conversation. Peras gets us faster finality, but a busier chain usually means heavier nodes. If observability tooling, history expiry, and rollout safety don't land at the same time, smaller pools end up paying for the upgrade in storage and ops time. The interesting move from Tweag is treating the whole rollout as one delivery pipeline rather than five separate research grants. Forces the dependencies to be planned together. Wonder how many DReps are weighing the operator side before they vote.

Cardano needs Peras. Midnight needs Peras. Future partner chains need Peras. @IOHK_Charles recently explained that without Peras, a bidirectional bridge could mean waiting around 12 hours for cross-chain transfers. With Peras, that will be reduced to minutes. This isn't just about Midnight, It's about giving Cardano the fast finality needed for a multi-chain future. @tweagio currently has a proposal live to bring Peras to mainnet. VOTE YES⬇️

Hey Cardano SPOs! 🚨 As part of our first homework assignment for the @midnightfdn Build Club, we need your voice. This is a very quick survey, but the insights you provide are incredibly valuable as we lay the groundwork for a truly decentralized, cross-chain ecosystem. Your input directly shapes how our networks will seamlessly collaborate and thrive together. Please take two minutes to fill it out, and please share this widely across the Cardano SPO ecosystem: 👇 docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F… Your voice matters! Thank you for helping🙏 Let's build the future together! 🚀 #Cardano #BuildClub #NodeOperators #AliitFellowship #Midnight

Really sad to see this. The day @se7en_labs released the updated Daedalus - hard fork ready and with Mithril bootstrapping built-in (finally showcasing a Mithril use case to retail and axing setup times) was genuinely one of the biggest feel good events amongst all the negativity recently. Downvoting the only full node wallet we have and refusing to add custom tx submit api support into Yoroi/Secondfi after years of requesting it, is about as low on the Cypherpunk scale as you can get tbh.
Thanks everyone that supported the Daedalus proposal. Unfortunately a competing wallet that adversarially defaulted all their users to delegate to them voted no on our proposal with a large amount of stake making it not pass. @emurgo_io I really hope you rectify this situation.

GM Cardano Real mainnet tx, real impact, real delivery. This is what we all want right? Incredible strides transforming 000's of farmers industrial approaches, But to scale your support is needed Cardano DReps. If I was a DRep this is something I would be behind, all day long. Another of the @Catalyst_onX early success stories that now needs the next stage support to scale 👀@yutazzz @SIPO_Tokyo @btbfpark @ArmyofSpies @ItsDave_ADA @learncardano @JaromirTesar @Cardano_CF

Binance, with their whopping 74 (seventy-four) pledge recently stopped producing blocks in all 49 of their pools for a whole month. And nobody even noticed until someone from our incentives working group sounded the alarm.

(un)popular opinion: cardano's biggest problem isn't technical. it's ux/ui - and almost nobody is treating it seriously we talk endlessly about throughput, smart contract languages, interoperability. all valid. but the average person landing on a cardano product for the first time is confused, overwhelmed, and gone within minutes and what's the worst about this friction - it is silent. it doesn't file a bug report. it just leaves you the teams that will win long term aren't necessarily the most technically advanced. they're the ones that make complex things feel simple. technology gaps close over time - user trust, once lost, rarely comes back if you're building in this ecosystem: obsess over onboarding. remove every unnecessary step assume-your-user-knows-nothing and that's not dumbing it down mindlessly - it's about respecting their time and pocketing cash in form of increased revenue ux/ui is the moat very few here are building i don't get it tbf nb: we are getting better and better in writing proposals tho
