Instead of removing criminals, the UK is removing people’s ability to expose crimes — through a social media ban (from which Bluesky is conveniently exempt)
Britain will ban under-16s from using social media apps including TikTok and YouTube: Starmer trib.al/ILcjhTO

I don't think any scene of a movie ever captured the feeling of modernity colliding with the romanticism of the youthful human soul like this one. "Can't be done, nothing ever happens, nothing you can do" has been the mantra most of us were raised on.

The conspiracy theorists were right A new FDA data mining report shows they knew the Covid vaccine had 25 major side effects and they all conspired to hide it from the public Senator Ron Johnson’s Senate PSI Majority Staff Interim Report has been released on FDA data mining and the March 2021 analysis by Dr. Ana Szarfman There was a “masking” in the standard FDA system, where signals from Pfizer and Moderna reportedly cancelled each other out Meaning they lied and hid the side effects from the public and told you it was 100% safe and effective I have compared the whole list for you: Neurological & Dysautonomia • Bell’s palsy (Suppressed Signal) • Paraesthesia ear (Suppressed Signal) • Bradykinesia (Suppressed Signal) • Basal ganglia stroke (Suppressed Signal) • Cerebral artery occlusion (Suppressed Signal) • Thalamic infarction • Sinus rhythm abnormality • Agonal rhythm • Diaphragmatic spasm • Dementia (Pfizer) Cardiac • Sudden cardiac death (Suppressed Signal) • Acute left ventricular failure (Suppressed Signal) • Diastolic dysfunction (Suppressed Signal) • Ejection fraction abnormal (Suppressed Signal) • Hypertensive emergency (Suppressed Signal) • Blood pressure systolic changes (Suppressed Signal) • Aortic stenosis (Suppressed Signal) • Cardiac failure chronic • Acute myocardial infarction (Pfizer, Moderna) • Cardiac telemetry abnormal (Pfizer) (Suppressed Signal) Vascular & Pulmonary • Pulmonary infarction (Suppressed Signal) • Embolic stroke • Ischaemic stroke • Aortic aneurysm rupture • May-Thurner syndrome • Hypomagnesaemia (Suppressed Signal) Other • Cholecystitis acute (Suppressed Signal) • AST/ALT ratio abnormal • Mastoid disorder • Cardiac assistance device user • Brain natriuretic peptide increased • Asymptomatic COVID-19 (Pfizer) (Suppressed Signal) The FDA’s standard analytical method allegedly masked “obscured” statistical safety signals in the data Aka they lied

My jaw literally dropped listening to this Homeless woman in Los Angeles says NGOs come to them and register them to vote 5 TIMES PER YEAR and pay them $25 Multiple people all confirm they register the homeless 4-5x A YEAR EACH and pay them This is why Democrats made ballot harvesting by 3rd party networks in California legal They are registering the homeless to vote 5x each, providing the fake name and address information, and then ballot harvesting hundreds of thousands of ballots

The actual joke here is not that liberals lack a theory of mind for anyone on the right (they do) while the average person on the right has one for liberals (they do, it's mistaken) It's that lib lack a theory of mind *for themselves* Their views of themselves and why they believe what they believe are entirely incorrect - they view their beliefs as "rational" and "following the evidence" but their actual beliefs are more simply described by "attempts to match the beliefs of the hivemind" and the hivemind changes beliefs based on if those beliefs produce power The simplest example (and there are others) is everything around covid where it went from "it's racist to worry about a disease - hug a Chinese person" to "shut everything down" to "racism is the real public health emergency" all following purely from the logic of power If a liberal had a good theory of mind *for himself* he would see himself as so cynical that he couldn't function as a good liberal - just saying that this is how they form views is enough to disqualify anyone from taking their views seriously Them lacking a theory of mind for anyone on the right is just a natural consequence of this

It is not just that liberals don’t know what conservatives think. Not knowing what other people think would be like, you think they support immigration, but it turns out they’re against immigration. Liberals know that conservatives are against immigration. They’re not confused or uneducated about *what* conservatives think. What they lack is a model of how and why conservatives think as they do. What most of them cannot do is take the other side of the argument in a debate. When they model conservatives it basically reduces to, “well, I guess I’m just a big dumb idiot racist.” If you point this out, they do long threads about how you’re desperate for their approval, which is just another demonstration of the same phenomenon. The term that people use for this kind of understanding is, “theory of mind.” It’s not my term. I didn’t invent it. We could use some other term. But you need *some* term for this to distinguish it from merely not understanding what other people think. I don’t really see the utility of finding some other term. This term captures it pretty well. People know what it means. It seems to be working just fine.

The whole point of the term "Mary Sue" is to be able to identify a bad, yet often used character trope in storytelling. Yes, the original definition of the term was a character being too perfect. It came from people's feelings about self-inserts in fan fics. However, many eventually realized that perfect characters don't always pose the problems Mary Sue's do in stories, and sometimes even flawed characters can bring about those same problems. Thus I, and others, now argue that a Mary Sue is defined more by how they affect a story than how perfect they are. A character being perfect is indeed often a symptom of them being a Mary Sue, but that aspect shouldn't define what one is, especially since paragons are a thing. When the plot and themes of a story bend around a character to the point that it is clear the writer(s) favor them, THAT is a Mary Sue, and said characters are problems because they make stories unbelievable which often also make them unenjoyable. Note, this is not the same as the writing in a story simply supporting a character. As long as the writing maintains a secure about of believability, it's fine.
I’m so confused. Isn’t a Mary sue a character who has no flaws and is always perfect and never struggles?

In 1750 BC, a man named Nanni bought copper from a Babylonian dealer named Ea-Nasir. The copper was garbage. So Nanni carved his rage into a clay tablet and had it delivered. It survived 3,770 years. It is the oldest written complaint on Earth, and it tells you exactly how ancient trade worked. Here is the wild part. There were no banks, no contracts you could sue over, no shipping insurance. Long distance trade ran entirely on reputation and trust. A merchant like Ea-Nasir built a network by being reliable. Cheat one customer and the whole city heard about it. So Nanni was not just venting. He was doing economic warfare. A bad review in 1750 BC could end your career, because your name was your only collateral. Copper itself traveled insane distances. It came from Oman, sailed up the Persian Gulf, and passed through traders in Dilmun (modern Bahrain) before reaching Mesopotamia. No coins existed yet. People paid in weighed silver, barley, and promises recorded on clay. And we know all of this because one angry customer refused to let it go. The tablet is in the British Museum right now. Ea-Nasir has been roasted for nearly four thousand years and he has no idea.

Coruscant never had a coherent design The Senate building is a giant dome. The Jedi Temple is a pyramid. Padmé’s apartment district is elegant. The nightclub district looks like Blade Runner. The undercity looks cyberpunk. The opera district looks luxurious and artistic.
I can’t believe how grey Coruscant was in the prequels 😔

The state of the UK is one of global import, and if they force this technology to be developed and implemented, then not only will the US be a single decision away from implementing the same tyrannical statutes, but the government will absolutely pressure tech companies to adopt it stateside and to give them access. The UK is essentially a rogue nuclear state dragging down the entire West right now, and it needs to be dealt with accordingly. NATO attacked Bosnia, and initiated regime change, for far, far, far less than what the UK has been doing for years.
The UK government spyware demand means that the government decides exactly what should be censored on every mobile device. They say they will start with nude pictures (if you don’t identify yourself as an adult). But it could at any time be expanded to anything the government disapproves of. Today, 30 people are arrested every day in the United Kingdom for writing something online that the government classifies as "grossly offensive". It is obvious that they will use this tool to restrict free speech. Currently, there appears to be no requirement to report findings outside the device. However, with both legal and technological decision-making power taken away from individuals and transferred to the government, that is only a pen stroke away. This means that the government could also use this system for total mass surveillance. And they can do so in secret. The government recently, in secret, tried to pressure Apple (which is now agreeing to client-side scanning) to build backdoors into its end-to-end encrypted cloud service. They can do this under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016, also known as the "Snoopers' Charter" – a law that makes it illegal for tech companies to disclose secret demands from the government.

President Johnson admitted to Newsweek that the attack on the USS Liberty was deliberate but Jews blackmailed him into saying it was an accident. After this incident, the Jews in Johnson's inner circle spied on Johnson and relayed any new intelligence about the USS Liberty attack to Israel. These Jews were Democrat fundraiser Abe Feinberg. US Ambassador to the UN, Arthur Goldberg, US Lawyer, David Ginsberg, and Supreme Court Justice, Abe Fortas. These were Israeli agents posing as Americans. Like Jonathan Pollard said, all Jews have dual loyalty.
🚨 WTF?! A USS Liberty survivor drops a massive bombshell. He confirms they were threatened with prison or worse if they ever spoke about the Israeli attack. Another veteran explicitly states "Israel owns us" after being ignored by Congress for 59 years. Total betrayal!
