The Fane lab is opening its doors on May 1st at the @FoxChaseCancer. We have positions available at all levels including technician, Postdoc and Associate. Email mitch.fane@gmail.com for more info. Links for the positions of me talking about my labs research are below.
Thankful to the @MelanomaReAlli for their support of our research on age and immune mediated mechanisms of metastatic melanoma progression and reactivation from dormancy.
Dr. @FaneMitchell from Fox Chase's Cancer Signaling and Microenvironment Research Program has been awarded a $255k grant by the @MelanomaReAlli! The grant will support research on the impact of aging on immune-regulated reactivation in metastatic melanoma: bit.ly/4ami1j4
Really excited to be apart of this session with two amazing speakers @alpcorreia@lab_gomes , come learn about dormancy and metastatic niche regulation!
We are hiring at all levels... come to join us ... We are investigating how lifestyle factors, such as smoking and aging, promote metastatic relapse ....

Our lab uses innovative methods to study how metastatic melanoma niches change during aging to promote outgrowth and resistance in aged populations and how this may contribute to reactivation from melanoma dormancy.
I will also be presenting at AACR on Saturday in the education session on how the dormancy niche regulate biology during minimal residual disease. Come check it out if your free!
I will be showcasing some of the work my new lab will be doing at Fox Chase as part of the Open Box Science Cancer Seminar Series alongside the great @luciaborriell. Come check it out. We both have positions available at all levels. Email me at mitch.fane@gmail.com for details.
Excited to finally announce I will be joining @FoxChaseCancer as an assistant professor to continue my work on how aging can reprogram metastatic niches to regulate dormancy and reactivation in cancer.
We're pleased to announce the hiring of Mitchell Fane, PhD, (@FaneMitchell) as an assistant professor in the Cancer Signaling and Microenvironment research program! Read more on his experience prior to joining Fox Chase:

I began my PhD at the @UQ_News and was extremely lucky to have great mentors who I could never have done this without including my PI Aaron Smith, co PI Richard Sturm, @piperlab_uq, @HaassLab and @Yash_Chhabra.
We will be looking to open our doors in the spring and will have the lab website coming soon. We are hiring at both the postdoc and technician level so if you are interested, please contact me at mitch.fane@gmail.com to learn more!
We are excited to share our latest story in @nature titled Stromal Changes In The Aged Lung Induce An Emergence From Melanoma Dormancy. A thread 1/19.

I’d also like to the editorial team at @nature for all their hard work, and the reviewers for their comments and insight, which truly helped improved the quality of this manuscript 18/19.
Lastly, as much as I love working for @AshaniTW, I am currently on the job market looking to start an independent laboratory to continue my research on how aging can reprogram metastatic niches to promote efficient metastatic outgrowth 19/19.
