Another real threat to Africa lies here. These are people who have become rich without โthe fruits of their laborโ, unlike the rest of the world. They continue to believe that one can live in opulence by exploiting its natural resources, but above all, by exploiting those they consider subhuman.
Now they are involved in all the political conflicts in Africa, where they create more problems than solutions. The cases of Sudan, Congo, and Chad are examples of their malevolence. Cheick Anta Diop was right: next to western colonialism is Arab colonialism.
Diop viewed Arab colonialism as a form of domination superposed on European colonialism, with negative consequences for Africa, notably through the imposition of new religious beliefs and the disruption of pre-existing African cultural ties.
For him, Islam, with its culture and language, was a force of conquest and assimilation that contributed to weakening African civilizations. As always, religion is once more used to divide Africans! What a shame!
