No. Physical products are just the example Taleb chose. The rule is broader: when more the 3-4% of a population has a hard constraint and everyone else is flexible, the hard constraint wins. That’s Bitcoin. Bitcoiners are intolerant of debasement, censorship, seizure, bailouts, trusted third parties, and rule changes. Everyone else is mostly tolerant of whatever money β€œworks” (for a while). That asymmetry is the whole game of Bitcoin. I wrote about this six years ago: swanbitcoin.com/culture/ten-…

that's inverted. i said we're the tolerant minority (in a censorship resistant flood fill p2p network). you're talking about the intolerant minority, a very different economic effect for physical products.

Creepy language.
it's like they want to start a club, and impose their morality on everyone else, where gold bars are rejected if they have a playboy motif because they're the morality police. that's a hard no guys. bitcoin is fungible like gold, so fork off if you want.

Bitcoin has thousands of philosophers. Almost all of them are financial and societal. Mechanic is the only technical philosopher and it is ABSOLUTELY imperative that his rationale be heard.
People need to stop deferring to @giacomozucco for their opinions on BIP110. His stance is one long rationalization for inaction in a circumstance where it's deeply needed.

Miners don't decide the protocol in the first place. If they don't follow the rules, they don't get paid

Because nobody cares what pedos think. They don't count as far as I am concerned. Core30 intentionally enabled attackers to force every Bitcoin user to distribute CSAM. This is a fatal wound because nobody is going to be willing to use Bitcoin if it requires them to do that. (Remember, Bitcoin only works if _most people_ are using full nodes.) RDTS rejects/undos the changes Core30 made. It prevents the CSAM attack. Rejecting RDTS requires creating a counter-fork like Bcash. To oppose or reject RDTS is therefore an explicit action to enable people to force CSAM on Bitcoin.

Braiiniac here pontificates about game theory while simultaneously crying like a bitch that he's getting gamed. 🀣
Knotzies are the woke people of Bitcoin. Everything offends them. Filters, spam, OP_RETURN, your node settings, your opinion. They cry, they lecture, they demand everyone comply. Bitcoin is a free market that self-regulates through game theory. You don't get a veto. Cope.

I suggest people running @BitcoinKnots and renting hash from @Braiins read this representative's opinion of you before supporting their business with your hard-earned Bitcoin

History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet. Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years. And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor. You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.

MSTR stonkers are trapped. They believed in the magic of financialization, thinking they’d get ahead. Now many new entrants are sitting on less than half the BTC value they once had. So they hope and pray. They yell β€œhe said it’s accretive!” at the skies. The cognitive dissonance grows, the cult behavior intensifies. But the writing is already on the wall: their BTC value likely won’t recover. And what remains will be trapped inside the very system Bitcoin was designed to escape.

If a developer reaches the point where the egos of the Core devs feel threatened he'll be chased out quick. The resulting sycophantic monoculture is going to result in issues until more people realize that its no longer a competent team capable of maintaining Bitcoin's reference client
The main reason I didn't merge privatebroadcast to @BitcoinKnots, was that I judged it to be underreviewed and prone to bugs. Since Core merged it in January, there were several followup fixes proving I was right, even before 31.0 was released. They went ahead and released it anyway.

I used to believe Bitcoin was in good hands. But the old guard has mostly retired or been bought off. And Core was overrun by Marxists and useful idiots. We cannot allow our best hope for the future to be trampled by these fools.

It's neither. I don't even have a brokerage account anymore since I put all of my money into BTC. If you know my history, you know I'm well-known for calling out scams like ETH, Cardano, Hex, Celsius, BlockFi, Voyager, FTX, etc. Maybe you should consider that I actually believe what I'm saying and that I have a good track record of calling out scammers. The only people being paid are the Saylor simps-- how ironic
