When people report police corruption, the #TorontoPolice cover it up rather than conducting an investigation. They attack the victim's credibility to hide any wrongdoing. If that doesn't work, they kick in their door & put a gun to their head. Victims, we need to keep fighting.

#ThunderBayPolice blacklist journalist Jon Thompson for reporting on their corruption. Lawyers state that Jon's rights under section 2 (b) of the Charter have been violated. If journalists who tell the truth about police corruption are being blacklisted, why are major media outlets not being blacklisted for their journalism? I can tell you from my first-hand experience in the Citytv & CP24 newsrooms that they don't report on anything that the #TorontoPolice haven't already agreed to. Remember THIS? On February 19, 2015, three 51 Division police officers were charged with the gang rape of a female member of the Toronto Police Service. Only a few days later, I was violently arrested on the word of a madman and brutalized in police custody for many hours. So 51 Division and the Toronto Police Service were already scrambling with sexual assault allegations (never mind the sexual misconduct allegations made by @EffyZarabi and officers like her) when I reported that I had been assaulted - sexually and otherwise - by members of 51 Division. My complaints were not only ignored, they were buried. Then weaponized against me. The powers that be went to great lengths to cover this up. Outrageous allegations were levelled against me. False charges were laid, and years of malicious prosecution followed, including four separate criminal court proceedings. I've been hunted throughout the streets of Toronto and terrorized in my home by one of the largest and most notorious police forces in North America. I've endured constant harassment, threats, intimidation, coercion, trespassing, dereliction of duty... you name it. I'm being surveilled and monitored to this day. (Because of course I am.) And that's not even half of it. Many of the officers who assaulted me are still officers today and have risen in rank. So not only has the Toronto Police Service been protecting police predators all these years, they've been promoting them too. Former #TorontoPolice Drug Squad member Brian Sukhram has been sentenced to four years in prison after being caught in possession of drugs which he stole from police evidence in 2024. Today, I chose to remember the people who've fallen due to #TorontoPolice corruption. One of whom was my neighbour, "The Professor," who committed suicide due to overpolicing and harassment. He lived in the #TCHC Dan Harrison Community Complex in #51Division, where 1 in every 7 units were searched each year between 2018 and 2023 as part of an "anti-social behaviour crackdown." R.I.P.
