🚨🎙️Wayne Rooney: “Arsenal have been robbed tonight” 🤯 Rooney 🗣️ “I’ll be completely honest, Arsenal were absolutely robbed tonight, there is no other way to put it. You look at that foul on Noni Madueke in the box; it’s a stonewall, 100% clear penalty. How the referee or VAR hasn't given that is beyond me, and it completely changes the dynamic of a Champions League final. But for me, the moment that truly gave it away the moment you knew exactly what the referee was doing was that halftime whistle. To blow the whistle right as Arsenal are literally standing there about to take a corner? I’ve played this game a long time, and you rarely see that unless there’s a blatant bias. It was shocking, and it set the tone for everything that followed. In the second half, it became a totally different game, and not because of the football. The referee made absolutely sure that every single 50/50 call, every little nudge, and every major decision went straight to PSG. It completely killed Arsenal’s momentum. But to be fair, I’m not even surprised. We saw the exact same story when they played Bayern Munich earlier in the tournament. The officiating was heavily skewed then, and it’s happened again on the biggest stage. PSG might be lifting the trophy, but they cannot honestly look at themselves in the mirror and be proud of the way they’ve won this final. To win the biggest prize in club football like that? It leaves a horrible taste. Arsenal deserved so much more tonight.”

Josh Kroenke “There will be no standing still once this season ends” Invest again, build a dynasty. This club deserves it. Arteta deserves it. These fans who have stuck by you through it all deserve it most.

Mikel Arteta apologises to the Arsenal fans today: “I apologise, take it in the chin and that's it. What I'm trying to do is give our best to the club. Give the best possible chance to our players and I know the atmosphere, the fans, the support, the energy in the stadium is the best in the world. “We have a much better chance. I don't think that there is any other possibility. To perform better than when you have that kind of support, but then we had to respond, and we had moments in the first half where we did it and there were other moments that we weren’t on our level. So then we have to apologise to them and improve for sure.”

To every Arsenal fan, I don’t even know where to begin but I have to say I’m sorry. What happened yesterday is on me. One moment, one decision and it changed everything. I’ve replayed it over and over in my head and it hurts knowing I let the team and every single one of you down. I know what this club means. I know what it means to fight for every point, every position, every dream. And in a moment where we needed composure, I made the wrong choice. There are no excuses for that. Seeing the disappointment, the anger, I understand it. Honestly I feel it too. Probably even more. Because when you wear this badge, you carry millions with you and yesterday I didn’t carry it the way I should have. All I can promise is this I won’t hide. I won’t shy away from it. I will take it, learn from it and use it. Because moments like this either break you or build you and I refuse to let it break me. I will come back stronger. For the team. For this club. For you. I’m truly sorry.

🚨🗣️ Thierry Henry on Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal defeat to AFC Bournemouth: “Look, I’m going to say it how it is because people don’t like to hear the truth when it’s about Arsenal. This team is too comfortable. Too comfortable. You can’t be in a title race and play like you’re protecting something instead of going to take it. I’ve defended Mikel Arteta many times, but today… I didn’t recognize that team. Where is the urgency? Where is the killer instinct? You’re playing AFC Bournemouth, no disrespect, and you’re moving the ball like you’re 3-0 up already. That’s arrogance, not control. And this is the problem, it’s not the first time. When it matters, they hesitate. They overthink. They try to play the ‘perfect’ football instead of winning ugly. Champions don’t do that. I’ve been there, sometimes you have to suffer, sometimes you have to be nasty. I don’t see that edge in this team. People will talk tactics, substitutions, whatever… but for me it’s mentality. If you keep dropping points like this, don’t talk to me about the title. You’re giving it away. Again. And if Mikel Arteta doesn’t change something quickly, whether it’s the approach, the attitude, or even making big decisions on players, then yes, they will bottle it. And I don’t say that lightly… but we’ve seen this movie before. At some point, you have to stop saying ‘we’re close’ and actually do it. Right now? They’re not doing it.”
