Excited to share our latest work! biorxiv.org/cgi/content/shor… Shotgun metagenomics reveals that the gut microbiota of two closely related honey bee species vastly differs at the strain-level. A. mellifera harbors many more strains & functional genes in its microbiota than A. cerana!
