Get my favorite ASO tool with 30% off by using code WWDC26. Grab it with my affiliate link, it would make me super happy: launchbuddy.app/astro I use Astro every single day. It's the simplest ASO tool I found and it's made by a fellow indie.

Indie devs, this one's for you 💙 It's WWDC week, so here's 30% off @tryastroapp with code WWDC26. Boost your ASO and get your app discovered by the people who'll love it.

New SwiftUI APIs mean new UIKit APIs And new UIKit APIs mean chances to abuse them iOS 17 has a .prominent TabRole, but why use it just for tabs? >> youtu.be/xYDP1SQ1fMc

Let‘s talk minimum deployment target. Xcode 27 now has a suggested version of iOS 17. So I checked the adoption rates of the latest major OS releases. And it turns out iOS has just 2/3 of the user base. iOS is ahead with a 87% adoption rate. If you ask me, this target makes the most sense. The 3% for iOS 17 aren’t worth not being able to use new APIs.
Fun detail: Xcode 27 recommends a target of iOS 17 According to iosref.com/ios-usage, these are the current usage stats: iOS 26: 67.8% iOS 18: 87.2% iOS 17: 90.6%

Pay attention if you’re running Apple Search Ads. And pay even more attention if you’re not. This is a huge growth lever if applied correctly. You should be running Apple Search Ads - ranking organically just isn’t feasible anymore. ASA serves customers with strong intent. It only makes sense to use this. And when you’re running search ads, you should be customizing them with custom product pages. This can tremendously increase conversion rates.
please don’t sleep on this the biggest Apple Ads secret is Custom Product Pages the biggest conversion lever is usually not the keyword it’s the CPP if someone searches for AI calorie tracker why send them to a generic product page? build a CPP that matches the keyword different screenshots different messaging different angle it’s basically creative testing for Apple Ads people spend months optimizing bids while sending everyone to the same product page that’s usually where the biggest opportunity is

I fully support localizing prices, but apps that heavily rely on AI APIs should be careful. It'll cost you the same amount, no matter where your users are from...
A day spent on ASO, app localization, and pricing optimization based on purchasing power parity can easily add $50–150/month from countries you weren’t even thinking about. Philippines: $165/month. Thailand: $88/month. Ukraine: $75/month. Chile: $53/month. Many developers ignore these opportunities because each country looks too small on its own. I recently saw advice telling developers not to localize pricing. You can find plenty of that advice elsewhere. But not from me. Localize your metadata. Localize your app. Localize your pricing. Small wins compound.

Provide on-screen content as additional context to Siri with the View Annotations API. So proud to have built this API in the App Intents layer extending views from the UI Frameworks you know and love, and I'm super excited that it's finally shipped, along with other new App Intents API, to augment intelligent experiences on adopting apps! 🔥 Amazing effort by all the xfunc teams involved! developer.apple.com/document…

Really seems like #WWDC26 is the one with lots of smaller improvements compared to the previous years that had huge news. Of course there were huge news regarding Siri AI and Apple Intelligence as a whole, but being from the EU those practically didn't happen for me.

Can someone explain to me why the order of the stop / run buttons in Xcode 27 got reversed? Do I just not see the settings to revert this? (top is Xcode 27, bottom is Xcode 26)

Xcode 27 was the secret winner at WWD27. In addition to writing code and debugging issues in your, it can now also run and control the simulator. All of this is now exposed as an MCP tool as well.
Proud to share a feature we've been working hard on! In Xcode 27.0, Agentic Xcode can automatically find runtime bugs for you. After a code change, it installs the app in a simulator, navigates your UI, observes the screen and validates that the feature works flawlessly ... (1/2)
