πWhat does it mean for young people to remain relevant, resilient, and included in the age of AI?
On Friday 22nd May 2026, we convened over 50 young people, practitioners, mentors, and thought leaders for a timely and reflective conversation through our youth webinar:
π― AI, Power & You: Who Wins in the Future of Work?
At a time when Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping industries, communication, education, governance, creativity, and access to opportunities, this session created space not only to discuss technology itself, but also the deeper social, ethical, and human questions surrounding the AI shift.
Together, we explored conversations around:
a) AI literacy and digital inclusion
b) The future of work and workforce transformation
c) Ethical and responsible AI adoption
d) Misinformation, media integrity, and digital responsibility
d) Emotional resilience and navigating uncertainty in changing times
e) Ensuring marginalized communities are not excluded from emerging opportunities
One of the strongest reflections from the session was the reminder that conversations about AI cannot only focus on innovation and productivity. They must also address power, inequality, access, ethics, accountability, and the responsibility young people have in shaping the future rather than simply reacting to it.
We are deeply grateful to our distinguished speakers: Dr. Nancy Kwangwa, Ms. Maria Ilieva, and Mr. Benson Furaha Mwandoro. Your insights, lived experiences, and thoughtful reflections brought depth, balance, and global perspective to this important conversation.
Special appreciation also goes to the YIB team, our partners, collaborators,
@KilifiCountyGov, Leading Well Network, and fellow Kilifi County CSOs including but not limited to

As
@ForIntegrityOrg, we remain committed to fostering informed, ethical, and inclusive conversations around technology, governance, digital transformation, and youth empowerment. Because ultimately, the future is not something young people should simply wait for. It is something we must understand, question, and actively help shape.
