📍Great ideas only create impact when people understand, believe in, and connect with them.
During our session on Effective Ideation, Communication & Advocacy facilitated by Mr. Festus Kazungu, fellows explored how ideas are developed, communicated, and transformed into meaningful action.
The session challenged participants to think beyond conventional approaches by exploring practical ideation and problem-solving strategies such as brainstorming, SWOT analysis, and the SCAMPER technique, encouraging young leaders to think critically, creatively, and outside the box when designing solutions for integrity and social justice challenges.
Fellows also engaged in conversations around effective communication, advocacy tools, storytelling, public speaking, strategic messaging, and the role of communication in influencing perceptions, mobilizing communities, and driving change. They also reflected on how youth voices can influence conversations, challenge systems, and inspire change within communities.
One key reflection from the session was clear:
Having a good idea is important, but knowing how to communicate, advocate for, and position that idea effectively is what gives it the power to create real impact.
