Thames Boaters Update - EA notification re Goring Visitor Moorings.
Towpath refurbishment works downstream of Goring lock from 19 May to 30 June. During this time the visitor mooring will not be available for use and we ask our customers to make alternative arrangements.

This was the scene on the chalk stream River Hiz (tributaries R. Oughton and R. Purwell) that runs through Arlesey this morning to join the River Ivel. Strong chemical smell. Has been reported to the EA. @IvelRev @Feargal_Sharkey @theriverstrust

@NorthWestWater can you please let me know why @Cartmelrace are allowed to dump their #wastewater into the #rivereea that runs through #cark!? I and other locals had to deal with the #stench yesterday. God knows what it’s doing to the #wildlife & #environment
