For those that don't know, Suni Williams is one of the most accomplished astronauts in history. I felt very fortunate to meet her at the Crew 1 launch in late 2020.
She was selected in 1998, spent more than 600 days in space, commanded Expedition 33, completed nine spacewalks totaling over 60 hours, and flew missions on the Space Shuttle, Soyuz, Starliner, and Dragon spacecraft. Flying on four different spacecraft is very much worth emphasizing! She became the first woman to pilot a new orbital spacecraft and was both the first person to run a marathon and complete a triathlon in space.
Her mission on Expedition 74 reflects decades of experience, trust, and leadership at the highest level.
Thank you, Suni, for setting the gold standard for human spaceflight and inspiring everyone who follows.
