Such an important comment to close the 2020 #GIHFF! @eehlinger noted the data show that communities with higher rates of civic participation and civic engagement are healthier. Board support is critical to advancing philanthropic work in this area, and sometimes hard to get.
"Democracy building should be an essential part of what every foundation does. It has to be built into the core of what they're doing." - @eehlinger encourages foundations to take civic engagement on to tackle existential threats like climate change, pandemic, etc. of #GIHFF
