The most common question I received in response to my blog yesterday about Democrat crossover voting was expected: “What can we do about it?”
My answer: move to a caucus system for Republican nominations in Idaho.
In this piece, I address some of the most common criticisms and misconceptions surrounding caucuses, including:
“Caucuses disenfranchise voters.”
“Candidates should just turn out more Republicans.”
“If party organizations struggle now, how could they run caucuses?”
“Taxpayers fund primaries, so taxpayers should control them.”
At the end of the day, I believe Republicans should choose Republican nominees.
