When you see your taxes being spent on feeding children instead of bombing them.

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.

BBC Clothes Show star Jeff Banks has said Whitechapel is like “a different country and language” from what he remembers.
The fashion designer visited his old stomping ground earlier this week following Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s controversial comments about Britain being “colonised by immigrants”.
Good to see other celebs backing up what Sir Jim said!! Times are changing.

This idea of Britain that was irks me. I’m a SE London Council Estate ex alumnus. Almost exclusively white. The estate next to mine was the one where the killers of Stephen Lawrence came from. A short distance from the then offices of the National Front.

Streets where kids roamed free.
Milk on doorsteps.
Close knitted communities.
No machetes, no no-go zones.
No fear, no chaos, just normal life.
Britain before the fall.
Who else misses this Britain?

Potential violence. That ‘outsiders’ were likely to get assaulted.
It was a threatening place to live.
No community.
Not friendly.
I hope in individual houses there was love and kindness but it was not good to walk around.

Utopia they pretend. If they say it was it’s because they were either rich, probably raised in kinder communities of the North or part or the gang of families that bullied their own areas.
Not much seems to have changed to me.
