That money has to be in a trust for a certain amount of time in some states to be untouchable
You can move a house into an irrevocable trust to protect it as an inheritance while the parents have the right to live in it until they die. Money can be moved into the trust as well. It just requires the parent to trust their children. Start talking about this now!

In 2020, Emory University published an epidemiological study saying that every $1 increase in the minimum wage state to state reduces the suicide rate by 6%.
That means that boosting the minimum wage by $1 could have saved 27,550 lives lost to suicide from 1990 to 2015.

People who speak like this have no idea what caregiving is like. It took 2 of us to lift my father to change his diapers when the cancer was killing him. I watched my mother after school in the hospital so my daddy could work. And that wasnt even specialized care like what Alzheimer’s patients need.
The way around that is the same as it always was. Generational living. Elderly relatives move in with the nuclear family, not into a care facility.
The outcome of dual-income families has simply been the outsourcing of child & eldercare. That's where the wealth goes
