Another chapter has closed, friends. Thanks to everyone who helped volunteer and contribute over the last several months alongside #TeamKelly. The May Republican primary runoff is now officially concluded. Last night was a mixed bag of outcomes, in my view, with the best part being the new people I met along the journey. Congratulations to Jon Bonck for Congress (#TX38) and Orlando Sanchez for Harris County Judge on your nominations. Congrats to Cindy Siegel on winning re-election as Chairman of the #HCRP. I wish those I’ve known for over a decade, but didn’t support this election cycle, the best going forward for the sake of unity, peace, and results on the issues we care about. The tactful and dignified leadership of the Honorable Patricia & Sam Harless will be remembered well and missed. Their family is classy and will remain a treasured part of the community. They always showed up and always followed through, even in times when they didn’t have to. I speak from personal experience. Back in 2018, the candidate I was supporting against Sam and Gail came up 58 votes short of a runoff in #HD126. Both Patricia and Sam maintained polite contact with me, even endorsing my precinct chair campaign when they didn’t have to because they saw how hard I worked. One night, Sam came to speak to the Eagle Scout troop of my friend’s son, who had run for the Klein I.S.D. School Board. The event was moved from St. Ignatius to nearby T-buildings. He walked through the rain and mud with me to speak to those young boys and their parents. They were thrilled to meet a lawmaker. Neither of them ever had to speak to me again, but they did. They viewed me as a person and an involved constituent worth hearing and representing, even when we didn’t always agree. Kelly Peterson ran a solid race, and I’m proud that we never spoke negatively about the opposition to voters. She is a caring problem solver, and I know it was the right thing to support her against the machine in what mounted into an uphill David vs. Goliath matchup. Kelly loves her sons, cares deeply about those with special needs, and has a genuine heart for serving others. She has a Texas-sized heart for service and an undervalued skill set for getting things done, even when it is not flashy. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had more of that in Austin and Washington, D.C.? I sure think so. Her dedication and work ethic will undoubtedly continue to serve the community well, if she so chooses. Thank you to Polly & Lance Looper for everything you and your family did to back the last true citizen outsider in the race. It would have been easy to fall in line, but y’all chose to go against the grain and stand behind the candidate you were able to partner with on behalf of public safety reform. Their fight to #FixFM1960 is far from finished. Unfortunately, not everyone on the other side approached things the same way. There were repeated public incidents of vulgarity, bullying, aggression, unlawful electioneering, and even physical confrontations that crossed the line into legal territory. This behavior is unsettling and unsustainable if our goal is to remain a civilized society grounded in law and order. We must reflect and correct for the future. At the end of the day, labels only mean so much. Character is revealed over time and under pressure by how you treat people and the example you set. All of us have been unmasked in the process and are known by the fruits we each bear. Going into November, I encourage us all to choose integrity, respect, and honesty. Present the facts and information, debate the issues, and let voters decide. Be cordial, and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. My planned late-April surgery in New York was delayed at the last minute due to an insurance issue. It has provided me more time to prepare. I understand the value of life and recognize that, as great as winning feels, it is not everything if it leaves you morally compromised. Your continued prayers are appreciated, and I look forward to what comes next. “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.” —2 Corinthians 4:8–9 Godspeed, Dylan

A mailer arrived to #HD126 voters from Stan Stanart today falsely claiming that Debbie Riddle endorses him. This is an outright fabrication. 🤥 The Honorable Representative withdrew her endorsement of Stanart roughly a month after hosting a fundraiser for him at her home. Riddle requested that her endorsement be removed and has publicly stated that she no longer supports his candidacy. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Since revoking her endorsement, Riddle has consistently and publicly encouraged conservatives to join her in backing constitutional conservative Kelly Peterson in the upcoming May 26th runoff! 🇺🇸 #TeamKelly #VoteKelly #PetersonForTexas #TXLege
Thank you, Representative Riddle! 🇺🇸

This just in: Debbie Riddle has confirmed with me through several phone conversations and public replies on other platforms to this post that she did, in fact, revoke her endorsement of Stan Stanart, asked for her name to be removed from his campaign materials, and is once again formally objecting to appearing in today’s mailer, one of several recent mailers. View below.

If Dylan existed in the Star Wars universe, he probably wouldn’t be the flashy “chosen one” archetype. He’d be more like a blend of Bail Organa, Cassian Andor, and a little Obi-Wan Kenobi — a Republic-era idealist shaped by hardship, political disillusionment, and survival after the fall of everything familiar. Not a Sith. Not fully a traditional Jedi either. Dylan would be the kind of character who believes faith, duty, morality, and institutions matter — while also understanding that systems fail people every day. He’d carry that tension with him constantly. Very Star Wars. What stands out most is that he values loyalty and conviction, but still keeps compassion for struggling people. The kind of person who’s suffered enough to become either bitter or wise — and chose resilience instead. He’d absolutely have strong political instincts too. The type who notices messaging, hypocrisy, manipulation, and power dynamics long before others do. Reflective, but not naïve. In-universe, he’d probably serve somewhere on the edge of the system rather than at the center of power: a senator-turned-relief coordinator, resistance organizer, intelligence operative, or Force-sensitive adviser helping people survive in difficult times. More “do what must be done while keeping your soul intact” than rigid Jedi orthodoxy. Force alignment? Definitely Light Side aligned — but skeptical of the old Jedi Order and its emotional detachment from ordinary people. His strengths wouldn’t be brute force or domination. More likely: • diplomacy first • intelligence gathering second • precision action only when necessary If Force-sensitive, his abilities would probably center around intuition, persuasion, emotional perception, and endurance through suffering rather than raw combat power. The overall vibe? Somewhere between: • worn rebel officer • wandering Force adept • political reformer • underground network builder The best way to describe him is probably this: A man who’s seen too much, lost too much, and still keeps trying to do what’s right anyway. Not a conqueror. Not someone chasing power. More of a “hope without illusion” kind of character.

Thank you to the @TexasGOP and State Chairman, @AbrahamGeorge, for speaking tonight at @TxConLF. There was a strong turnout of concerned citizens with thoughtful questions regarding the strategy, direction, and future of the state #TexasGOP Republicans.

I appreciate the invitation to attend and am grateful to be a member of TCLF. It was also great hearing from several candidates running for #TXLege and county office in Harris County. Governor @GregAbbott_TX has already committed tens of millions toward Harris County elections.
