BMC investigation into birth certificate issuance: According to civic records while till May 21, scrutiny by authorities had found  10,244 cases wherein corrections in birth certificates were made without any supporting documents being provided, the same number has now increased to 19,734. A break up of this shows that in case of 16528 birth certificates there were no supporting documents provided at all while in case of 3206 birth certificates the supporting documents that had been provided were incomplete.   timesofindia.indiatimes.com/…

Standing amidst mountains of legacy garbage at Deonar, MMR’s first waste-to-energy (WTE) plant is inching towards completion, with officials now eyeing December 2026 for stabilised operations.
