Around 2015, politics shifted.
Trans activists appeared and began demanding access to women's restrooms and the conservative world started gaining liberal refugees fleeing rapidly growing leftwing insanity.
Then Trump happened and the country seemed united against the absurdity of the Democratic left.
We had a united force where race, religion, sexuality, political affiliation, etc., no longer mattered. We had to stop the madness.
It became socially cool to rebel against the left and we did it together.
Then J6, and a split occurred between conservatives who were united against the left and rightwing activists seeking a new social order, willing to do whatever it took to win.
The country united again under absurd COVID restrictions, then again over insane transition practices on children.
Underneath it all, that rightwing rebellion was circulating. Mainstream flirted with it, it gained followers in underground alternative platforms as leftwing social media exiled anyone who hinted at dissent.
By 2024, 'America First,' felt like the only thing that could undo Biden's leftwing damage. Conservatives, Republicans, converted liberals, the right, all voted for Trump in the hopes it wasn't too late.
Then 10/7 happened.
For a moment, the country was united against Hamas. Then very quickly the left separated itself with anti-Israel occupation/genocide rhetoric and it seemed support for or against Israel defined a person's politics.
The rightwing underground rebellion, however, was now returning to Twitter/X under Musk's open speech policies and we began to see mainstream rightwing voices take dramatic shifts in their rhetoric on Israel.
It became clear that it wasn't just a fringe underground troll industry. It had become synonymous with 'MAGA,' then 'America First.'
Then a leftwing LGBTQ activist assassinated Charlie Kirk and it seemed overnight that divide became a canyon. Everything that united us before imploded.
The right became the Woke Right, fueled exclusively by the certainty of long dismissed, but heavily circulated underground conspiracies around Jews.
Without Kirk as a dam maintaining reason, the flood of rightwing conspiracy overwhelmed every area of politics. Overnight, it appeared, large numbers of formerly united people, along with shocking conversions of high ranking conservatives, all embraced the lunacy.
Those of us left fought it with the assumption it must be a misunderstanding or a small fringe or we were lied to or...
It has simply amplified ever since.
Somehow those who first found purpose in pushing back against the left have expanded their definition of enemy, which includes those of us who stood with them a few years ago.
The mind virus of Jew hate has spread farther than any reasonable person could have imagined.
Today, in June of 2026, it feels like that small, absurd fringe conspiracy group has taken over the right entirely, just as Woke took over the Democrats.
