This statement by university bosses is an absolute disgrace.
Taking 100% of pay from our already underpaid members - who are at work every single day - is aimed at destroying their own employees.
It’s them, not our members that threaten students education.
RT if you agree.
ALT pay deduction for partial performance are fair measures in place to counter targeting students with industrial action that could affect some students for the rest of their lives.

OK, lets say you're a Uni VC... over the summer you have been advised that with social distancing you can bring students back to campus, which is good because without them there is a major shortfall in accom revenues... then evidence came in (aug) from the US that it wasn't...

Most university academics have spent 25 years in an education system which rewards competitive behaviour towards peers and submissiveness towards authority. Thus socialized, they are incapable of collective resistance in crisis situations

It seems VCs at @USSemployers are struggling to understand what they need to do to end the threat of heavy industrial action over #USS, and I'm appalled by how little "leadership" we're seeing from such highly paid servants of the sector. Let me enlighten them. 1/

I am not confusing anything. Members will definitely lose their defined benefit pension if they accept what is happening without resistance. The only way they can get the UUK/USS/tPR - all of whom are human - to engage seriously is by industrial action.
